Virtual interview invited scheduled only have 1 interviewer.

End up someone mysterious join, never turned on video and the main person late.

Then both join. And realised the mysterious person is the reporting mgr while the main interviewer is the director.

And both off camera through out while I'm left an idiot on the camera and throughout 1h ask a lot difficult questions.

Doesn't seems engaging. The role is also very demanding and hours are bad.

Is it really caz now is employers market so interviewers can do what they like?

if they asked why, then u say u are learning & following potential superior's standards
I wanted to but I thought nvm I'll endure and hopefully they will realised and turn on or tell me I can actually turn off too.

this is normal ..... at least both HOD interview you is better than HR
once they decide to accept you ...then HR will contact and you can nego. about offer/ benefit with them

Since you said it was a global company, maybe they were not in the office?

But regardless I still think it's not professional. Even if it was odd-hours, off-site for them. They could have simply said so to explain the situation.

Congrats you helped them meet local interviewee quota, can place the pre-selected candidate EP application liao.

If both turn off, is can ask if camera can be on/off. By default is more modern professional to tell u can turn off and norm is to turn it on.

See if they giggle too = before interview chitchat about interviewee
