Do chiu think 334 owners will see the Roxanne as a significant upgrade?

I put up my 334 for sale to fund for the Roxanne....

when compared to FA pf and fitear's treble extension. i agree nowhere near.

FA pf still left me with dislocated side jaw and my balls on the floor. dang.

Did you find the Roxanne treble to be roll-off?
Some of the early impressions from Head-fi mentioned that they have smoother treble compared to JH13/16.

Yes. I am not sure which frequencies the high notes of Japanese flutes hit, but other CIEMs like LSX, Kaiser 10 and C435 are able to reproduce the energy of the high notes of Japanese flutes that they gave me goosebumps, especially the C435, which I regard as the CIEM with the best treble extension in the market.

The Roxanne is just.....disappointing in this aspect. There was a lack of energy and life in the Japanese flutes.

I didn't have the chance to try the JH13 and JH16 with my current playlist of audio gear testing tracks, but that's partly because I was tight for time.

C435 is the reference ciem to some of us here
Even I was gobsmacked when I put on Uncle Wilson's C435
They might have been in the market for 5 years, but their sound is just alluring...

I'll wait for my turn tomorrow, and let my ears be the judge

That is comforting, coz I was thinking if I buy the JH13 during BF, I don't have to sell my 334.
But if I get the Roxanne, the 334 has to go to

Free publicity ah? Guangong says, people will be curious?

In any case, everyone's perception of sound is different so not surprising. I do agree with him on his take of se846 thought.

its definitely an upgrade iem of jh series.
imo from jh16.

i listen only on the lowest bass.

i am quite sensitive and allergic to bass so i always try with lowest bass. anyway i retested mh335dw, somehow i got a different perspective of it. i am surprised.

need some experts views on the adjustable bass. alot of them were adjusting the bass knob.

Tried the universal Roxanne and they are good enough for me.

Don't want to make this into a debate on which iem is better as I believe different strokes for different folks.


I tried the fitear 334 and 435 but still prefered the universal Roxanne.

The bass at the lowest level is already quite strong. Tried it with the ak 120, direct from my iPhone 5 and iPhone 5 with ak 10.

Of course best combo was with ak120 with the lossless stuff.

But it does a very very good job when used direct with my iPhone.

Also had a chance to speak to jerry and here are answers to some of them

1) when can we expect the custom Roxannes for those who order during Black Friday

Ans: should be 5 weeks from order so that means early jan
Jerry has double the production crew so fingers crossed for the delivery time. But having said that I would prefer they do a good job 1st round and no refitting required.

2) any new amps coming up to match the roxanne?

Ans: not within the next 6 months. The Roxanne is packed with much improvement and an amp would be designed to compliment it in Jerry's view. Perhaps a db increase or decrease in certain freq range but nothing concrete at the moment

On a side note, tried the ak 120 Titan with the Roxanne universal and a ominous omen.

The Roxanne that I tried to use, the left side earphone was not working at certain angle of usage. Perhaps a loose connection somewhere but hope the custom would not have this "minute" issue over long run.

Sorry JH fanboys. I prefer the K10 to the Roxanne anyday.
