smooth listening you can look towards Noble K10 and Rooth LSX. IMO, these are REALLY smooth iems. To me, the Roxannes incite a more lively sound and out of the world soundstage. Jerry makes IEMs for rock stars. Really. :s13:

Where to try ? :D

after a night of thoughts,i still find it surprising roxanne lacking in treble. im considered a noob in audio and can find the soundstage treble narrow. surely jh will notice tt. or is it just bad fit the reason. or preference of music? but which flagship brand will want make a narrow treble soundstage. difficult to digest yesterday demo experience.

Sorry, Don't really agree fully to that statment.
"problems wif uiversal....u turn them abit depper into the treble changes abit"

Bear in mind there is a missing link, the ear tip size ???. There is small, medium and large.

During the audition the tips are ? so may not fit some respective people

I go only for universal and never go for Custom

In Custom, you do a mold and cast out according to your ear canal contour to seal.

In Universal we use the ear tip size to seal

regards

I'm no expert but I think it is highly possible due to fit or ear tips. I wouldn't be surprise that the ear tips on the demos would give us Asians a bad fit because the demos were probably from Can Jam where angmos might have bigger ears/canals? And rubber tips/foam/acrylic customs all provide a noticeable difference in sound. I remember auditioning the jh13&16 and I didn't really like them but took the leap of faith anyway after much research. When the ciem came I was really glad it sounded great.

Guess for people who already ordered the Roxanne best is pray hard it suits your taste. If you read up on Jerry Harvey you'll notice all his incredible works and why all the hype in JHA. Theoretically it doesn't make sense for him to produce a mediocre product. Just pray and have faith!

For those who had pre-ordered Roxanne during BF, just enjoy your music for now while you await the delivery of Rxoanne. You have the final verdict when you receive this ciem. Chill ..... :D

have been thinking about the mh335dwsr ever since auditioning it at mook. not even sure if its colored in anyway and do not care about the technicalities. but the sound is just so fun and fulfilling that whatever im using now seems inadequate. but 3k for a ciem like abit too much. its just so good. bought a smile to my face when the drums and percussions kick in in at the 0:28 mark. it sounded so real and hit so hard. and i inspected the workmanship of fitear. the nozzles are drilled so nicely (clean round circles) compared to other companies. its really just enjoyment in the music with fitear. the best thing i have ever stuff in my ears. this is just a bias post to praise fitear after the happiness they have bought me that day. now its either i look for alternatives that sound like them or i save up for them. tested and i feel that the mh335dwsr is able to keep up for with fast songs.

Edit: wrong thread. shifted to fitear appreciation.
Edit: Roxanne was a disappointment but thats just purely my opinion.

I would say Roxanne has an "energetic" signature compared to LS10 or K10.

LS10, to me, belongs to the "zen"-ish signature. extremely smooth.. as if there's a law of how things should flow to you, and away, and the overlapping of sounds to create an euphoric musical experience. (impressions based on pairing with toxic scorpion 24awg cable).

Tested them today. K10 are so bassy, the mid get affected as well. This it's not for me. 8C much better but it sound very sharp as well. Thus they are for me, just wait for Roxanne now and compare them again with 334 and 335.

If i am not wrong, K10 is suppose to be less bassier than the 8C.

In the end of the day pick the one you like, and mook serve it purpose already. Just consider yourself very lucky you can compare so many high/low end CIEM/IEM/HP at one place.

To me, coming from live trip and JH16 Pro fp.

Roxanne is too bass muddy (bass adj to 10 oclock), the rest of the aspect is better than my JH16. But then it's universal, that's the problem. My first set if JH 16 pro has exactly the same problem but Jerry fix it easily and I got the best out of JH16 on my second set.

Then I go audit fitear 334/335, mid is way off.... sorry to say. But then it's universal problem again. lolz. Love the build of fitear though. I almost wanted to cancel Roxanne and go fitear but the mid put me off and I need to gamble and go for my own custom.

Can elaborate on the fitear mids that you felt was off for you?

Thought mid is the strong point of the 334, wonder how this could put you off, and way off ...
