Dear roxanneuniversal,

No matter how hard you try to convince others of the benefits of owning a jh roxanne, it will not work. Do note that many of the ppl here are hardcore 'audiophile' and they are no noobs. I'm one of the 'noob' who ordered ordered during bf and gave up waiting. Fortunately, I kept my tg334 and so I'm least affected by this fiasco.

In any case, your 'best' sounding roxanne maybe someone's else crap, so let's just learn to respect each other's preference.

roxanneuniversal you can have your own opinion but no need to brainwash ppl.
if ppl think it is good, it is good. if they think it is bad, no matter how u brainwash it is still bad.
Different ppl have different music sig preference. One man's meat is another man's poison.
If everyone will like the same gear, then we only need one earphone from one single brand will do isnt it?

see one problem with customs is that you can't experiment with tips until you get the perfect one for your ears. if you want to change them you have to send them back for a refit and then it might come back sounding worse.

See one problem with universals derived from a custom is that you play with tips that alter the sound so you may not be hearing what jha intends the roxanne to actually sound like.

So you get your so called perfect tips and got your perfect sound but it is merely perfect for you. It may not be the original roxanne sound and also there may be pple who will think it's crap sound.

As a thread starter myself, I am too not biased with my judgement. Sadly the Roxanne does not please my ears. The JH13PRO is awesome though.

Stvc, is there a refit issue with ur rox? U spent so much and if u r selling it, the lose is high for custom. If u r getting fitear,u can buy it first and do a/b comparison. Can decide from there again. Rox is still under wty, u can send for refit, tunning, etc. My rox is with JH again after refit. The tunning in left n right is not balance. gotta be abit patient with JH atm.

To me the seal is already there buy it not very comfort for long hour listening. The 2nd bend / tip given too much pressure. Perhaps because of open mount ear impression? I wondering if jh can so reshell with new impression.

I also did open jaw. I noticed for Roxanne its bigger than other ciems and fits tighter. Tighter maybe to also hold the weight better. Initially I did have a little discomfort ESP after 2hrs of wear. But sometimes i don't get the discomfort. So after some observation I adjusted the memory wire so that its goes loosely around my ears and it seem to fix the problem. I guess even a very slight shift in weight play a big part for me.

I can't relate to this because my tips are soft and flexible. i use comply p series with the top 4-5mm cut off.

someone should invent a custom that also has a flexible tip at the end of it for comfort.

one weird thing about custom roxanne is that it doesn't stick out like universal. universal sticks out like 4mm from your ear but custom is flush with ear. i don't knwo why JH struggle so hard to squeeze everything in like that. just let it stick out a little like universal so it can be more comfortable. it looks cool too sticking out.

Hmmm JH won't listen to the sound but test with equipment instead.

I rofling here lol.....my conclusions as of now demoing the universal while waiting for my cf to arrive and comparing to my 13s is still the roxannes highs are not well extended....
