Camping now.
Likely a QD PB5 or the BMAI jingtan turbo 3.0. Need a shoe that also can handle slow pace just in case I punchek during SCSM and need to slow jog. Ruled out 361 Flame 4 because of this, terrible shoe at slow pace or walking.
with your running pace, why not the PB3 增强?

And if you want a good shoe that does it all and feels good, Turbo3.0 is really appropriate, imo.

will probably do another one or two 10km tt until end of the year to see if I can crack 38m before deciding on next year's challenge.

Note for those on the path to a 10k challenge, I have found 4X2km and 3X3.2km workouts to be most impactful. Plyometrics and core strengthening also helped. Most importantly don't rush it. Your body needs time.

Suspect you are not the FM kinda guy.

Maybe can try dualthlon. Run bike Run. Also more towards your distance (run dist total 10km)

Just for ref :

I don't know how to cycle. Not joking. :ROFLMAO:
Maybe run-swim... but somehow doesn't sound very fun...

ya.. FM doesn't really appeal to me. so it's either HM or maybe another 10K challenge

I'm aiming Dowin 神行者3 which reviews suggest is a forgiving plated, soft, cushy shoe.

JT Turbo 3 works for all paces but no assistance from forward rolls. Must depend on own self running gait.

If you do get Turbo 3, maybe can run your race within the first 150km of lifespan.

After that, I find the energy return is slightly lesser. Maybe I'm heavy footed. 😄

Dowin largest size is 45. So it's out for my list as I wear 46.

Any non plated shoes to intro?

Currently looking at Lining yueying 5 pro.

Although megablast and vomero plus are tempting me as well

China brand shoes so much cheaper compared to western brands, even more so during 11/11. Tempted to just wack multiple pairs to cover all usage scenerios. Like previously i said i aiming EVO SL which going for $200. At that price i can get at least 3 pairs of china brand shoe.

You won't go wrong with Evo SL haha.can cover 4.30 to 6 mins pace. Not many non plated shoes can do that if you ask me.

Heard megablast can perform even better but damm that price point.

Haha the final sprint finish. Temasek should invest and research in this field.

Subsidise and let our elderly use as guinea pig. Will be very helpful as aid.

Edit: good they did sponsored trials.

https://www.temasek.com.sg/en/news-...walk-again-leaning-on-tech-one-step-at-a-time

About time to commercialize for general public. So people with limited mobility can move more.

Instead of subsidising PMDs for those lazy bums.

2:40 min/km pace also can do somewhat chill. Really power.
Forget about paying for shoes, all your current ones would be good enough.

But too bad the assistance on the bike wasnt too good.

If not this would be doubly useful for me and worth the investment (forget about getting simi superbike/super wheels, which i think is still marginal)

those feet can touch almost the butt , is it very difficult to achieve?
Let me explain slowly.

The mechanism

When the runner's feet touch close to the butt, it's not supposed to conscious like how you do the butt kick drill, but rather it's because of hip flexion and hamstring recoil.

When push off,
  1. Glutes and calves send you forward.
  2. Your hamstrings pull your foot up naturally.
  3. Your hip flexors swing the leg forward again quickly.
Why most can't achieve it?

1. Weak glutes/calves > less power
2. Tight hips or quads > legs can't fold up smoothly
3. Overstriding or heavy landing > legs swing like pendulum instead of springing forward

How to improve?

1. Drills: A-skip/B-skip, butt kick, high knee, bounding
2. Strength training: Dumbbell squats, Hamstring curls, Calf raise, Glute bridge
3. Mobility: Stretch quads/hip flexors, leg swings before run
4. Hill sprints

My advice: Have a slight forward tilt when you run, look straight and engage your hip to lift your hamstrings up. Then you get the full range of motion. Most people run without engaging hips enough.

10K under 40m challenge officially completed at this morning's track tt.💪
38m42s, avg pace 3:52, avg hr 169, avg cadence 197, avg stride length 1.3m
My cadence hardly ever hits 180, but stride length goes towards 1.5m. Which means that you will fit well in shoes that support turnover. I prefer shoes that support stride length.

ya spot on. my stride length for my day to day run easy pace runs only 0.8 to 0.9m but avg cadence is consistently 198+. My easy pace looks more like a quick shuffle than a run.
And for the above reason, I like shoes with very fast turnovers which tends to be relatively firm and resilient. I avoid shoes with excessive softness and sink with no rebound. It actually throws me off my rhythm. Novablast 5 is one of those.
