Very nice weather (finally) to hoot again. Active cooling with ice water/slushie splashes.

So-called PB, 18.30. (previous 18.42). Non track GPS only accuracy + Googple Map distance measurement kinda accuracy, but can't be helped it is what it is.

Iam slow runner. Pace 8. High heart rate issue. Scared to post here :D

Anyone doing barefoot? Iam practising my landing and form Still cant do consistent mid foot landing throughout the run

Currently using decathlon aqua shoes. Love to hear for any other option or opinion

My goal is to do weekly 3 hours HM distance run in 3 months time

I used to cycle 100+km weekly but now scared to cycle on the road :( too many reckless drivers

No worries, I also super slow runner of 9 minutes pace :s13:

Impressive as always. If @WussRedXLi really concentrates on running, he would be top of the bunch or at least for his age

lol tot I'm the only slow runner here... i avg abt 8 per Km...

I just started to run this year.

My treadmill pace is good but outdoor if I wanted to run for 1 hour plus, my pace must maintained at 9 minutes per hour to feel easy.

Did u set a gradient for your treadmill? To get the same demand as outdoor running, the treadmill has to be set to at least 1% gradient.

Yes, my mentor asked me to set between 1 to 3% so I always set at 1%.

Treadmill, I think my HM cfm no problem but outdoor

20240505 20degC new balance fuelcell rebel v4
6.11km@5'52"av (35'50") HR 157av 164max
6.07km@7'13"av (43'52") HR 143av 154max

Rebel v4, nice shoe to go slow or fast, stable bouncy, a good balance betweem firmness and softness, just nice for me in terms of running. Feels very similar to Puma Deviate Nitro 2, excepts sinks in less. Main difference between the two is DN2 is suitable for rear foot strikers, whereas Rv4 is more suited for mid or fore foot strikers. First impression based on memory.
sidenote: not good for walking whole day, heel feels uncomfortable.
sidenote 2: HRM on. apple watch series 7 is very close to coros HRM strap. Those with coros and Apple watch series 7 and above, thinking of getting coros HRM strap, don't waste money.

Just my opinion, during training, it's best not to depend on quick energy release gels. They have a high glycemic index and can negate one of the main benefits of training in zone 2, which is to train your body to efficiently burn stored energy, such as fat. Being metabolically flexible is a significant health benefit.

I do use the same SIS gel, but only for long runs when I need to push through fatigue and during the race itself.

Actually no right or wrong. Just that was my philosophy for zone 2 training. Can use, just use the store energy first. If that gel can push you another 5km, why not, it works.
