I tried running 5 km this morning 7 am around my hotel. Holy hell, the heat and humidity were worse than Singapore. Will have to run very conservatively this Sunday. Only 295 FM runners.

I can't imagine running 42Km under this weather 😰

Bro check with you ya.
There is those waist bag for running.
Can put your eg. Spectacles, money, mrt card....
You try before?
Will it like knick up down up down exile running?
Will it ferl uncomfortable?

@Ender ...
@xllms ...
spec + keys + mobile phone + mrt card + ear phones no problem.
recommends you put money within a small waterproof ziploc bag to prevent sweat from making them wet and soggy.
as for mrt card, recommends you to use apps on mobile phone

Never used waist bag before. But the waist band that @WussRedXLi recommended is good. Brand is Chito. Can search LAzada and cheaper from Taobao. The wait band keeps the barangs close to your body therefore very minimal movement of your items. Bt it is not waterproof so you still need to zip block those water sensitive items.

I also wear glasses. Just wear and run. Don't have a need to take it off. If worried they slide down, there's those 'rubber' hooks that works very well. What I learn from my optician is I use hair dryer to heat up the legs til it become soft, bend both legs inwards around the ear to 'kiap' around your head. Hold the bend leg in position and run cold tap water to cool it down. It will stay in this shape for a few months, and you can feel the pressure when it 'kiap' your head. Won't slide down. Only thing is it will go back to it original shape and be lose, so need to repeat the process once in a while. Only works with those plastic frames. Don't know about metal frame.

Time to hire a Thai support motorbike with lots of ice packs / sponges. (y)
Think SGD 150 can get liao.

You are correct, it's a little higher. 8-9am already 39 deg C heat index.
Brutal, maciam like T100 Singapore afternoon condition,

Heat injury no joke. Watch the recent Joe Morgan Youtube vid who wanted to beat 1.20 HM and got 2 GB Elite runners to pace him, ended up nearly heat stroke, luckily medical was great and they revived him. The incident was real, he literally ran until his face turned pale white (clammy) and also hunched over for several hundreds metres delirious before he blacked out and fell.
His 10k PB 37 mins one.

Ya, park run not certified by our SA and IAAF.

I made a mistake. Not 17.15. It was 17.46. So yeah, for female, GCL 17.33 is indeed the record holder here in every sense and angle.

Course Records
The female record is held by Jenna HILL who recorded a time of 00:17:47 on 17th September 2016 (Event #116).
The male record is held by Aki NUMMELA who recorded a time of 00:15:16 on 28th February 2015 (Event #37).

I encountered heat exhaustion while running along green corridor recently. HR was in zone 3 very fast and felt so sluggish. Really must maintain mental discipline to take it very easy when the heat is brutal.

Just your identification or NOK or drug allergy. This is just in case runner is unconscious, they know your special needs and who to call.

A few months back I posted here , there is a local news of the jogger who died in the accident in the morning. The family wasn't informed till late evening or next day, coz they jogger didn't carry any ID.

I will just put my name, and wife's number, since I have no special medical needs.
