Can I ask some questions ?

Is it true that for those sales shoes which are old model, the sole is already deteriorated and will not last that long since it's had been kept for quite a long time ?

How much of a distance should you train for HM ? I got different answers when googling. Some said if you can run 10K, then should be no problem but some said 15K or the more the better

45 minutes for a 56 yo uncle running a 10Km is very fast liao

I think in my lifetime will never reach that level unless I wanted to go hospital

Actually if you bring a bag, you can deposit it in the bag station before your run. I think should be foc.

Most shoes I bought are past season shoes. Save cost. For runners, our shoes aged by mileage rather than time. By 500km or more can start consider to retire your shoes depending on condition and wear. And most my shoes are retired base on wear. On occasion I do have to glue back outsole to midsole. Simple job. The one that degrade due to aging and cannot repair is midsole rot. Yes, old shoes on sales do have that midsole rot risk. I bought past season shoes that are 3 or more generation that suffer that. So now the max is I look for past 2 generation, but mostly is still one generation old.

HM, LSD train for up to 17 - 19km when you are about 3 or 2 weeks away from the race, then taper down to race day.

I never participated in lucky draw because I forgotten to bring my card but anyway, I don't have luck in lucky draw.

I asked because quoted by a seller it's not safe to run long distance on such shoes cause you don't know what's the condition of the foam over long period of time which might caused injury if you used it.

Yes, I also got it at this price n I saw the NB Elite V3 first version with limited sizes even much cheaper price at $80 but then I got the V4 so not really that keen.

I am not too sure if degraded form will cause injury. I think I buy one gen old shoes should be ok.. Like the NB SC Elite 3 at $80 that you saw is a good buy, even though in one gen old.

Most can go beyond. Ultimately it is base on the wear. After the outsole is completely gone, how much of the midsole wear can you tolerate? My Reebok Floatride , lasted 1700km until the upper split. The outsole is still 100% intact, I would not have retire it if not for the upper gone. SO it still base on wear.
500km, is a guide, and if lasted 500km, and midsole is worn off bad, I consider the shoe is decent longevity. If 300km, midsole worn off, low durability.

I think depend on the brand and model. I always buy Asics old models and they last really long. Even after 1000 km the soles work just fine.

In contrast, I bought old models Nike and Saucony for my wife and the soles came off less than 500 km of usage.

No matter how I still find the sole not that soft as compared to NB Fresh Foam.
