No need to hurry for FM this year. However can test water to see if every month can increase 2.2 km first:
July - 23.2km
Aug - 25.4km
Sept - 27.6km
Oct - 29.8km
Nov - 32km
Complete 32km in 5 hrs 12 mins assuming target pace 9:45/km
The rest of 10km will complete in 2hrs 18mins minus 3 toilet break of 2 mins each = 2 hrs 12mins
The remaining 10k pace will be 13:12/km
Total: 7hrs 30mins :ROFLMAO:

Actually to tell you the truth when I ran yesterday, I also had no idea how I can complete my HM :s22:

I ran until my leg was quite fragile liao but I believe the endurance played a significant role in my completion.

Do socks matter?

How does branded running socks compare against generic running socks?
Matters for me. Cushioning, water absorption, prevent chafing.

I like slightly thicker socks like this pair. Not expensive too.

Saucony Men's Multi-Pack Mesh... https://www.amazon.sg/dp/B084HH2TCM?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Also had a New Balance socks from Amazon but can't find the link anymore.

Very moisture absorbing and cushioning. Running in thunderstorm, feet don't feel wet at all.

Drawback is after washing, if no burning sunshine, need almost 2 days of drying.

I find that for the socks it's better not to go for low cut so to prevent your Achilles tendon from chafing against the shoes heel collar.

The one I linked have a thicker heel tab that prevents chafing. Very thoughtful design. :)

Tried before other brands without the heel tab. Those are hit and miss. Will depend on the shoes' heel tab design to prevent eating into skin.

Last time I like Brooks heel tab the most. Really padded, rounded and smooth. Can even run sockless. :s13:

Tonight another milestone for me.
Last weekend 10km milestone.
Tonight another one.
But the whole of last week, did not do any practise.

Enjoyed the walk but do bring a raincoat or umbrella with you just in case it's rain.
