How many SCSMers have started your peak phase? today is my first day of a three phase, by right should start last week chose to have one week to recover from Garmin run. Terrible weather for this phase. Think I may bare my upper body for the longer LSD.

But in this hot weather, I see more chio bu run in sport bra. Some motivation for you guys to run in the heat of the night.

That's why all these races (except for SCSM) and GPS not too much different lah. I am willing to bet in most cases, a good tested watch (eg even my cheap Huawei GT Runner) in good decent locations like Bay East Garden side is even more accurate with regards to distance than these races.

Of coz if run shenton way/cecil/robinson/merlion then dont say lah..........that one no devices can make it.
At SCSM when going past LPS towards West Coast Highway to Vivo and back to anderson bridge to finish, I think GPS will fail

I ran with Amdk from my run club, and he is definitely mentally strong to push through the heat. Was doing 4k, 4k, 3k intervals with him. He managed to get faster through the intervals last Tuesday when the weather is quite hot.

I ran 4:47/km at 155 average bpm on Sunday and the watch predictor improved my times. I am one more good run away from my watch 5k predictor to be sub 18 min. Currently, it's at 18.01 min.
Good job! Getting faster and faster!

I started last week, didn't take too long a break from Garmin. The weather is the main killer honestly. Today's intervals didn't have the speed lol

Yeah that one Shenton Way....and of coz Keppel Road under the viaduct. My Magene bike computer always beeping also (Coz lost signal) but for Keppel viaduct sometimes come back again due to signal reflections, but speed displayed a bit wonky also.

After almost clocking more than 1500km. My Saucony endorphin speed 3 totally give way. The shoe is so good that it can be used for fast speed run , long run and even for full marathon shoe. It is also very light weight which is less than 230g. The best feature I like is the "bouncy" feel. Now I have to wear my old NB 1080 temporary and I feel it is so firm and stiff when landing on it 😞. Any recommendations for any long distance shoes that give "bouncy feel" and with wide toe box ?

speed 4 or buy another speed 3? haha. Once used to saucony speed, hard to adjust to others. I also use speed for my long runs and pro for my races haha.

I think it is difficult to find a brand new Speed 3 now. Speed 4 doesn't have wide version. Probably I need to go running lab to give a try. I don't wish to upsize because it would make my left foot even more loose. My right foot is slightly bigger . Whenever I tried running shoes. Only on the right foot will do.

I just read that Asics novablast 3 or 4 are similar to Saucony speed. May also want to try .

Will try to do drew hunter workout later

(800 @ 3.19-3.20 min/km), r(10), (1k x 5 @ 4.04-4.05 min/km w/ 90s rest), r(10), (4 x 300 @ 3.19-3.20 min/km w/ 100m jog)

Just take the 40m short sprint with a pinch of salt. Might not translate to 60-100m. Coleman has the best 60m start in the entire world but can't qualify for olympic 100m man squad.
