Personally I feel thick socks is just like padding on the shoes..it retains the sweat, and contributes to the ponding inside. I prefer thin socks, just enough to not make my feet feel the upper of the shoes. Important is how well the shoe drains out the water inside. Something you can't test.
Just like my singlet, I prefer lighter and thin with ventilated holes. Due to their light weight, they get saturated with sweat quickly and starts dripping them out onto your pants and then to your shoes which hopefully is high drainage.
Reason why I won't use those nb 1080 type of max cushion shoes, their plush upper with max padding is sweat absorber and retainer.

i haven't really found a shoe that drains well and doesn't pond for long runs. even a shoe like boston 12 ponds for me. all i can do is to delay the accumulation of sweat with 1) mid to high sock like those that goes to mid calves 2) years ago, i tried wrist bands (you know the type that tennis players use) and put on the lower legs (mid calves), it did further delayed the accumulation that I could run almost 2 hrs with relatively dry shoes. side effect is the hilarious zebra tan lines.
over time i learn to live with it. As long as my feet don't slide in the shoe and cause blisters or black toe nails... i cover two eyes.

Sama sama for me. Only wear thin socks and no max cushion shoes. even Puma DN2 is too much of water retention for me, won’t wear it during summer. Now no longer wear shorts cos too much abrasion on my thighs, only wear tights.

Ran an 32km lsd and 16kmaerobic run for the past 2 days. Can see the improvement I've made compared to the past 2 years. :)

Very nice pacing. Monthly volume is sick. Do you still have enough time to strength train?

@WussRedXLi poison you with this bike

Not bad, wtf only 4999rmb frame for T1000 + T1100 reinforced.
That's my type of pricing!

The chinese cycling fraternity getting bigger......shd have more and better things to come, more volume lower prices etc.

"New" bike shop.....selling Elves, Quick Pro etc. Let you have an idea on local prices. Still rather ex.
Need to take the plunge and order via sea ship from TB, then get local bike shop to tune. Actually nothing much to tune also, if they do it up properly. Di2 can self align/adjust......like today my kid and I at mount faber, i parked my bike and he banged onto it causing it to fall onto the rear deraillure side, the hanger out of adjustment a bit.
Instead of bending it back, i just used the Shimano E-tube app, default is +4 towards the right, now i need to adjust to +9 ok liao can shift properly for first 4 gears. 15 mins job including test ride, easy.
Have total of like +16 to adjust before i need to physically bend via agaration (lehche). If mechanical, need a fair bit of skills liao.

Havent finish. Got 172.62 km one ah.

Another "issue" is that they are at altitude.

which is why so tempting to cycle in China.

if your house have space to build/DIY your bike + storage, you can buy from TB and do it yourself, learn via online learning videos
