Don't know whose bright idea to limit the speed limit of Marina Bay East to 15kmh only. (4.00 pace)
2.4 = 9.36 min, 5k = 20 mins, 10k = 40 mins.

Shd be some recent rise in accidents. (2022 had a jump of an additional 200+ serious accidents over the year before)

5.07am, sounds like my kind of timing.....though that nicoll highway area i only rode 2X over there.
The way one illuminates himself in the dark (360 deg visiblity) and how one crosses at zebra crossings/signalised junctions really is always key. I still do not ride on the roads, only exposure is at the crossings and some very short distances of roads in order to reach from one signalised crossing to another one within 100m distance after crossing.

But the same goes for joggers crossing at 5-8 min pace.

For those exercising / training like nearly daily or daily (eg me) and crossing junctions in the dark like dozens of times daily, do consider safety equipment. It's just not the same as your home-office daily commuting risks.
Esp one is very tempted to cross when the red man is lit, coz really no vehicles mah.

SINGAPORE – A 45-year-old cyclist died after a hit-and-run accident on Nicoll Highway on Dec 19 morning.

The man was unconscious when taken to hospital, where he subsequently died, said the police in response to The Straits Times’ queries on Dec 20.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force said a person was taken to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.

The police said they were alerted at 5.07am to an accident involving a car and a bicycle on Nicoll Highway towards Guillemard Road.

The driver, a 33-year-old man, was later arrested for dangerous driving causing death, added the police. Investigations are under way.

when I first picked up the Ultraboost and feels it weight at the store, already felt it to be a very clunky shoes. It's no wonder that not many runners wanted a pair for running.

I realised that I really like the SLs more than my Adios 8s for longer runs

Seems like even though people are saying LS 1.0 in the SL is more firm, I seem to feel more "bounce" from the shoe in general, maybe because I tend to land on my forefoot?

Kinda weird but I guess it's the same issue with the Supernova 2s

Adidas / Nike the brand alone can sell one......

Honestly both of them have so many shoe lines that it's super confusing lol

Esp adidas, Supernova, UB, Ubounce, Pureboost, Solarglide
Had to read up a bit to realise everything outside the Adizero line was using their older foam lol

That said, I saw that they were implementing some hybrid foam in their latest Supernova Rise, but... I just bought so many pairs of shoes so forget it bah...

The danger of Ultramarathon especially on trails where logistic and supports are limited. Have to be very prepared for the worst. Don't forget closer to home, there was another tragedy of flash flood in a Ultra in Vietnam that killed a runner. What seems like a crossable stream may turn into a violent river in a matters of seconds.
Checking on the weather condition on the day itself is important and decide if you should carry on with the race.

Cygolite Hypershot 350 tail light for longer range illumination and road use only coz the beam width is pretty narrow. (it would dazzle/blind in PCNs/parks). Thing 100m in bright daylight also visible, coz of the TIR/total internal refraction optics to focus the light.

Also changing/upgrading the helmet side lights to Machfally BK400. Very decent lights in the budget cat.

The red colour is for red rear solid illum. Already have 3 others plugged to USB direct, i add one more.
The BK400 also got clip for running use, very useful, and is among the brightest and biggest beam angle spread. 1 white for front and 1 red for read gao dim, you don't need to arm yourself at the 4 corners with 4 lights.


Also add 1 helmet light (for the kid as he is on tow sometimes).

Already have other lights, like 2 x Moon Helix 450 (this one is wide angle diffused light)

Night time not difficult, issue is day time / dusk, when it is already bright and some cocksters first light blur fug coz no caffeine. Like they always say in NS attacks, first light is best to attack.

Coz NE monsoon surge, the air is dry type.
