5 x 1km lactate intervals w/ 1.30 min rest

1st set: 4.09
2nd set: 4.05
3rd set: 3.54 (0.97km stopped early) > 4.01 (projected)
4th set: 4.20 (1.06km stopped late) > 4.04 (projected)
5th set: 4.02

Avg. pace: 4.04/km
Goal pace: 4.15-4.20/km

Did this with a match going on (lane 1/2 blocked) and poor lane discipline (a lot of people walking on my lane). Was running on lane 5 consistently and switched to lane 4 when there is some space. Didn't expect so many people there.

If it's evening, its crowded. Many walkers. It' a public space, so no choice got to share. Sometimes I slot the interval in the morning where it is lesser people, or do it 4:30am. Hougang stadium open this early, don't know about the others. Other suitable timing with less people is 8:30 pm, where you have about less than an hour to finish up your session.

No choice but to make do with it, thinking of going to school track like NUS instead. Don't recall it to be crowded in the evenings. Hougang too far for me liao :ROFLMAO:

Ngee Ann poly is the closest but track condition isn't optimal. The track isn't well maintained (bumpy surface) and the field maintenance created a short elevated platform at the 100m mark.

Very fast. Last time there this edmwer , can't recall his nick, Tudor or something like that, used post runs with similar pace and distance.
yeah remembered him running the park run 5km in low 20 min, first place but don't know the route so had to pace with the 2nd place runner for most of the run

Think is Tudo88 or something last post like ran 4.05 pace for what 13km for his long run b4 his half marathon. Coz he aiming for half @ below 1.30 and wanted to sustain 4.00 pacing for a long period. But after that no more post. Not sure what happened.

CNY i could barely managed that (13.88 @ 56.57), not easy

So very possibly he is a lagi faster + longer runner than me.

Are we allowed into school tracks?

Most public stadiums open at 4.30am. During my wife’s confinement I went Clementi where the track condition also not fantastic. Nowadays if I go during lunch break I go Bishan track and if early morning I go home of athletics (Kallang practice track). Home of athletics probably the most well maintained out of all the public tracks

Incidentally, just now was already at 25-30 (ok, dont roast me) at MBE and a PMD zoomed past me. Got put licence one......so. (licence plate legit or not, nobody cares)

Easily 60 kmh, easily double my speed.
But at least they have got front and rear lights on them. (nevermind that they were rainbow type lights)

Heng i was on the left.

Dont play play and F around like some jokers running on the cycling/cart lane against the direction (ie RHS)
And then wear totally black before sunrise and then you have dark complexion

Coz these kind of guys they whack you, they run. Don't expect them to call an ambulance for ya.
Also, very very high chance no cameras around etc. It's not like on public roads where there could be nice samaritians to call and got car cams.

At least this guy keeping to maybe 30 or so. :ROFLMAO:
Pang chance on his front/rear lights i guess.

12.01km @ 7'13”
was pacing myself at 7'00" pace to ensure my hamstring doesn't get worse, stopped halfway to snap a few pic of cherry blossom before resuming. after awhile, can feel cramps on both my calfs slowly creeping in. slow down pace until last km went below 8´
can hardly get myself back home 😂

saucony endorphin speed is also one of my favourite. So are aap3 and pb3.0. Other 2 possible contenders are sep3 and ats9.

My left upper hamstring portion also a wee bit niggle. Just a wee bit of feeling tho, no pain no nothing.

Think wont have any specific running sessions for the next 2 weeks.....just the daily getting to work/returning and returning home for lunch short sessions.

I think if next time Shanti tries cycling, she on foldie can easily outgun intermediate to even advanced amateurs guys on road bikes on short TTs.
Her musclature is power, can compensate with higher cadence also, already more or less all there.

This is LSD?.. 22km it is.. Good job.. But next day rest well for recovery. I always find LSD need more recovery compare to high intensity session. I will make sure I get a good portion of protein (meat for me) intake after run and all the way to the next day.
