Longest I tried was 15km night run with no hydration in between. Day run would be roughly 12km before I feel really cranky from the dehydration.

Before and after run, I do pocari hydration (my kitchen cabinet has boxes of pocari satchets lying around lol).
My longest was the shears bridge run.

For me no hydration is under 2 hour run for night run.

I particpated several rounds in a hydration study. Learn that timely hydration is optimal for recovery nad performance. Timely means spread out your drinks over the duration of the run.

After the study has finished, only habit hard to die. Still run without hydration at night. It's really not ideal if training volume is high and recovery is precious.

If South side, just try to run at Merlion/MBS/BEG area as a loop, if longer run (in which hydration starts to become a necessity) and live within 5km away it is very doable. Hydration problem solved if you are the type who doesnt run with a belt/vest.
Got aircon toilets to drink water and chiobus to see also. Cold working water coolers at Esplanade shopping mall area even. Or 7-11s.

Heck, cycling (as training) also go there. Safer than roads. Intervals a bit more tricky but still doable at BEG separated cycling lane pedestrian issues (fair not bumpy vs even ECP) which is fairly better than the usual PCN . 2 bridges/mini climbs.
Other days/session you still can go to all the rides in which cyclists out for blood and wanna kill each other.

Ya. Race pack collected. It was a smooth experience for me.

Yeah, the distance in previous years was not exactly 21.1km. I heard there's some space after the finishing line to clock the distance.

Maybe next time I can go to ECP or city area to have my long run. But I live in the west and transport takes more than 1 hour. I signed up for this cause I thought it would be a unique experience, and it would be my first time completing HM distance.

Back from ride.
5:30 till just after 9AM. 92km long ride.

The SAVA R2 really ok. Total 250+ km since the weekend.

Went through some bumpy bits fast and bouncing around and still no creaks no nothing. (told the seller to help me additionally grease gao gao the headset/steerer, front and rear wheel axle/bearings and crank axle.
I can't say the same for my Fnhon foldie even when it was fairly new, but of coz different bike type.

But managed to tease out the first issue, actually fairly common issue. The seatpost slipped a wee bit from the bumps. I think i also took those bumpy bits rather aggressively. I know it slipped a bit coz i attached 2 lights on the seatpost and i know the relative position of the 2 lights, actually the lights got pushed up. Think slipped about 2cm.

I just took out the seatpost and did not see any carbon friction paste. Think will get some.
Also when i unscrewed the hex bolt, i found it to be a bit on the loose side.
I think other than the clamp and CF seatpost having insufficient friction, it could also be due to the hex bolt becoming unscrewed a little due to bumps (vibrations) and hence the clamping pressure got lower during the ride.
2 possible factors at play here, with the bolt becoming more and more loose after riding bumpy roads aggressively with lots of vibration.

Oh if west side then cannot liao.
The weather these few days seems to be decent, if got late afternoon heavier showers then next early morning hours pretty decently cool. Like this morning for eg.

Her single leg box jump (with 1 leg landing) really looks brutal.....but seems juicy at the same time. Really can see the amount of balancing / neuro involved as well. Good for bones as well, at least beneficial to the middle age groupers.

Really one day one point in the future need to try (im not there yet, just relatively simple single leg pogos left/right/front/back and simple weighted rope single leg skipping stage).
I might have the tendency to dial the distances down in future.

Wah **. They cut the route short. Become 20km. I guess most runners will keep on running after the finish line to get 21.1km.
Unforgiveable cockup from the organizer. Months of planning but still unable to get the route distance right
