Ya crazy yesterday. 5.30pm start 10k run. Not sunny but very humid.

Sweat buckets until shorts also wet. Usually won't.

Shocker when I got home. My S23 phone with IP68 rating.. the screen turned fluorescent pink, blue, yellow colour. WTF!

Did some inspection and found water droplets got into the pen slot and also bottom screen sealed area. Must be the sweat...

Knock knock out many water drops still no go.

Then I used a hot air gun to blow dry for 10 minutes. Heng this time the screen turned back to normal.

Can boot in again even though will still turn fluorescent a couple times.

Today seem more stable. Hope it continues. 🙏

5.30pm hoot 10k. IIRC yesterday not like the day before (rainy)
Though yeah, it was cloudy. But heat index not low also.

I salute you lah bro.

Anyway I googled and it 500g-1.5kg. You claimed you lost 3kg. That mean you may be a alien or someone special

I nearly bought that, the teal/black version so nice, but yeah it would have been my most ex pair of running shoes. Ended up settling for a pair of gt-2000-12s at 129 after discount. It's been serving me well!

Been using Nike for years. Now I discovered china shoes and it seems much value for money. Cannot wait till 618 to get my first pair of china shoes

Anyway recently went china to try buy xtep 5.0pro in chaozhou shop. They only have till 2.0 as they say no one buy 5.0 there. Told me to buy in their shop as taobao one is fake which I think is bs

Why wait for 618? It's happening now.
On tao bao, they do have fake one, so buy from flagship stores (旗舰店)for peace of mind.

I've just started trying to do zone 2 running because I read about the various benefits, but it's really hard. Tried to slow myself to a pretty comfortable, consistent gait, but my heart rate seems pretty high. What's the best way to practice - should I just jog-walk-jog instead of run even slower?

For reference, here's the stats I clocked today (2nd attempt).

As a comparison, my usual pace:

BTW I'm using a cheap Apple Watch so the stats won't be too accurate

Walk n jog is fine. Main thing is to be consistent and slowly progress up. It must become automatic to you like how you'd bathe and brush teeth daily (of coz take at least 1 full rest day per week since we dont have access to those full on recovery regime that pros have). Mental aspect.
Not sure if i am reading it correctly but 7-8k seems a bit risky (too high a mileage) if this is your what.....2nd session in a long time?
Can start off with 2-3k.

Thanks ok I will try jog-walk-jog next time.

2nd attempt as in 2nd time trying to get into zone 2 running, haha. The second screenshot was that of a typical run before trying to slow down

It takes a lot of discipline to slow down. Same for cycling, in fact it's probably worse in the cycling scene.
Primarily the best indicator is blood lactate levels, many cyclists would be very surprised should they get a BL meter and start measuring. Interestingly, compared to their very expensive bikes, it's actually a very affordable piece of equipment.
