this is currently my fav shoe. innitially, the fit was abit weird, cos my left heels seems to be "misalign" when wearing it. but after running in it, that feeling went away. good grip on wet road. i like the soft landing feel.
I tried true to size and there is quite a gap for the length. I downsize half and the sides abit tight. Hmmm

Carbon shoes are mainly for running use.

the carbon plate is so hard, that prolong wearing and standing on it will result in foot inflammation, so not advisable.

I have 3 pair of carbon shoes, mainly use for running, not for street walking. For street walking, I will go back to normal track shoes without c plate

Carbon Fibre plated shoes majority of these models would have a very aggressive rocker geometry, ie you will roll forward "naturally".
Is dangerous in some circumstances like taking the MRT in which the shakiness might cause you to be unstable forwards direction and cause you to roll forward.
Also unsuitable for use cases like in the gym in which you need the front part to be flat and minimal/zero toe spring

There might be some which are still suitable or day to day usage, like deviate nitro 2.....maybe not gym weight/powerlifting usage but day to day go office go shopping take MRT is fine. But of coz that one is nylon plate, but still that one is still rather stiff. But the rocker geometry is not super aggressive.

Plaid 1 is good as walking shoe for me. But rocker effect is real so must take note when leaning forward.

Bmai Jingtan 3 Turbo is good for walking also. No rocker effect.

But abit kiam pah wear these shoes for walking. 😄

mine arrived today.
wore at home walked around and compared with BMAI 远征者5.0 & PEAK 千层浪. Forefoot feels tighter than both, midsole feels softer than both and its quite similar to 远征者5.0, but sinks in abit more. Both 远征者5.0 & 千层浪 feel more comfortable when I walked around, but it could be they are more seasoned.
just swapped the given insole (5m super critical) with BMAI's 4mm Boomfly TPEE insole. Feels less squeezed on my left toes. Feels slightly firmer which is what i prefer and feels alot better walking around with. Luckily i have a pair of thinner insole to try, otherwise i was planning to return.

really depends on many factors in terms of comfort, eg. thickness, length, position, curvature angle/position, profile, etc.
Had wore the following carbon plated shoes for casual war walking:
adidas adios pro 3 (carbon rods)
saucony endorphin pro 3
xtep 160x5.0
qiaodan feiying pb3.0
bmai jingtan 3.0 turbo
bmai jingtan mix plus
of the 4 performance level carbon plated/rods running shoes i have, jingtan 3.0 turbo feels the most natural and comfortable, in running and walking. feiying pb3.0 fare pretty well for me too, it was my go to shoe if i can only bring 1 pair of shoes to travel/walk/run, especially in summer places.

I wonder how you guys walk with the rocker geometry and high stack. Everytime I walked to my starting point is not a thing I can get used to. But then I only wear them once or twice a week for the higher intensity workouts. Most time it's the non plated shoes.

I see those china brand shoes mentioned here mostly are plated racers. Any recommendations for non-plated daily trainers? Think its high time to retire my Asics NB5. Never keep track but most probably clocked more than 1000km on them and the foam has lost its "pop" or bounciness a long time ago. Currently its feels no different from wearing $30 army emart shoe.
