actually doesn't quite matter, especially if the shoes do not cause any forms of injuries.
i believe most of us did plenty of running in Bata BM2000 or something similar when we were in our school days.
Can't remember Primary school wear white Bata or not. But PE teacher always ask us run in the field under hot sun then basketball court.

Feet damn hot!

Then don't know why I join boy scout for what??? The black canvas shoes run on road lagi more hot! 😄

I remember as a kid at my grandfather taoist wake/funeral, I had to walk on tarmac with socks (no shoes) under hot noon sun. That one really suffering. Dunno whose great idea.

yah, always played football on basketball courts under the hot sun and sometimes in the field with BM2000 or some china brand equivalent. Also ran NAFTA 1.6km (if my memory serves me well) test in them on the tarmac.
Every week saturday must wash shoes and apply the white coating over the shoes 😂
continued the same till sec 2, when school had good supplies of etonic running shoes at good prices, and school relaxed shoes control, allowing us to wear track shoes.

Like they all said.....

It's all about priorities. Not about not having insufficient time.

i also like the white design. Curious to try VF though previously tried them and find them unstable.

Yeah sure unstable when i tried before, even Plaid is more stable.......just go for short races where you can midfoot with a slight forefoot bias, like 3k or 5k.
Or even 400 - 1k repeats

But at that price just buy since most impt is colour. :s19: 🤣

3k,,,,,4 seconds slower than PB. But at least i think now 10min range is bao jiak and attainable, in the bag liao.

Over ambitious, tot could last 5k and at least maybe net another 17m plus into the bag. In the end give up..... HR too siong to sustain for that long. I think also partially due to the heat (it's not warm but still at 30 deg C heat index, is not 25). I very long never 6pm+ run liao.

My MHR is around 182bpm ard there. So there is no way of hovering above 175 for so long,,,,and also not much hope of getting back down to 165-170.

curious but probably pass since too many shoes now lol
still using AAP3, Saucony Endorphin Pro 3, QD Feiying pb3.0, Xtep 160x5 & BMAI jingtan 3.0 turbo. Enough fast shoes. Now focusing on non plated daily trainers.

Vf2 very unstable. Vf3 better stability but loss abit of pop. not as fun to race compare to vf2. Even QD pb3 or 4 more fun to run than vf3.
But Nike is still only western branded I will buy in the future coz of this outlet sales where the price can be very low. Other western brands hardly bring to super shoes to the outlet and even if have, discount not as good as Nike.

Never tried this method before, but just out of curiousity i was trying to see how I fare for the past 2 weeks of block training, and here are the responses that I've gotten from the LLM's for data in-depth analysis.

ChatGPT:
Overall: Your aerobic base and consistency are excellent foundations for sub-3. The critical next step is systematically introducing marathon pace work and controlled high-intensity sessions while managing fatigue through rest. This structure will bridge your strong endurance to the specific demands of racing 42.2km at 4:15/km. Stick to the plan, focus on MP, and prioritize recovery – you're on a great trajectory! 🏃‍♂️💨

Deepseek:
You're off to an excellent start in your marathon training block, showing strong consistency and a well-developed aerobic base. Your recent training reflects disciplined pacing, controlled effort on easy days, and purposeful inclusion of long runs and moderate-intensity work. This foundation is exactly what’s needed at this stage — it builds endurance while leaving room to sharpen speed and race-specific fitness in the coming weeks. You're progressing in the right direction for a sub-3 goal.

Looks like I'll be doing this more often haha.
