Was at jb sentral waiting for 170 to go larkin, or cwl. Then this Singapore johore bus came, driver said rm2 to larkin. Almost everyone from the 170 queue boarded the bus, and quite fast find rm2 to pay... cw bus should just round the fare to nearest rm instead rm2.60, rm4.60, rm4.80...wasting time...
You prefer RM3, RM5, AND RM5? Rounded up?

Where's our in-house CWL CEO...? Gone for BOD? :s13:

Yeah for cash payment, manjalink payment then give discount to encourage more ppl use manjalink ...

It's like Starbuck if everyone top up alot of money to the wallet, that money can be used by the company to invest and get profit from interest rate...

Oh, I thought you're looking to pay the rounded-up fares. But for the masses...

Ya, I'm also in favor of making the queues move faster and in fact, this might make more people move to cashless payments too.

@Meemoosaa , more feedback for your consideration here. Thanks in advance for putting this up in your next meeting.

No I really didn't know because I don't really go out often and in the past drove.
Ezlink use distance based pricing, take 1 stop, they charge you minimum fare. Take beyond certain distance, they charge u max fare. You can swap between different train and bus afew times at no additional cost.

So if you take from home to kranji mrt, you alrdy have 1 ezlink trip. If you from kranji to jb, take 160/170/170X, it's the same ezlink trip.

If at kranji mrt you choose to take CW, they do fixed fare. Think 1.6sgd or 2sgd. That's essentially 2 ezlink trips.

I've tried asking around for the reason why cw is so popular even during non-peak, they also willingly spend that extra 2dollars, no logical findings so far, all sentimental.

But for westerners, they don’t have a
Choice. They die die must take CW as there is no sg public bus via Tuas to JayBee
Cw go in is 6sgd to Bukit indah.

That's like rm20 each person.
Rm40 confirm can grab from jb sentral to bukit indah.

The ezlink cost from your home to jurong east interchange(to go indah)
Vs ezlink cost from your home jb sentral
I assume is ezlink max fare so both the same.

If 2 ppl, you grab to indah save yourself the cost of a meal.
If 1 ppl, maybe wont save if grab surge.

But if you solo worker and just wanna save time go home rest, diff story lor

Then when go back home from indah, I always do the math.
The cw bus fare back is rm6.

Rm6*number of ppl + cost to grab to busstop
Vs
Cost to grab to jb sentral

Whichever cheaper I take which.
So far even if 2 ppl its also cheaper to grab to jb sentral lol

There are people giving rides to friends and colleagues and neighbors, same what we do here. How to differentiate unless they simply detain for questioning and verification?

But it's good that they confiscate the vehicles once verified.
Would you give rides to your friend in Toyota alpha or Hyundai Starex? The problem is ICA is not responsible for illegal cross border PHV, need LTA to station their officers at the checkpoint.

If my friend happens to drive one of those, I guess I should reject the ride to be safe then. :s13:

And change minimum top up amount to rm10 or rm15 instead rm30. Install self top up machine.

Yup, @Aaagogo did mention quite a while back as to how many Malaysians living in Johor might not be able to afford having that minimum RM30 locked up in the card. Perhaps that's one reason why the cashless take-up rate is low there.

But for us, one trip via 2nd Link can easily shave off RM20, so RM30 isn't exactly excessive. Unless you chiong BSI most of the time. All along I make sure my cards have at least RM30 before a trip, and in recent months I up-ed the amount to RM50.

As for top-up, self-help machines are at about 5 locations here in SG. Exchange rates are reasonable.

Me? I use the Lugo app, deduction from my TnG wallet.
