Hi all,
I have miles expiring this end Jul and Aug and have already used the miles to redeem a one-way ticket. If I cancel the ticket, will the miles be returned back?if yes, will the returned miles be tied back to the expiry dates?

We can request for stopover for krisflyer miles redemption flight right. Can it be done online or must call? I couldn't locate the option to do it online.

Roundtrip, you can do it online while redeeming your ticket

I see one way cannot do stopover unless I pay 100 bucks.

Was looking for Sg to lax.
Vancouver to sg.

Yes, the routes to Europe and US are very high demand, so you need to redeem quite far in advance.

Suppose long flight like Europe or USA. Is it better to buy economy in advance and upgrade to business using miles or just use miles for business directly ?

Redeem Miles for Family - Yes
You need to add your family member as redemption nominee, you can nominate up to 5 members (But you will be locked 6 months per name, means cannot change name)

Transfer Miles to Them - No

It's more worthwhile to redeem Business Class directly. Upgrade to Business is not worth the miles as it uses a substantial amount of miles.

1. Redeem business class directly instead of upgrade
2. Book early (at least 8 to 12 months) as possible due to limited seats

Can i checking
1. Since KF can be used for other airlines under *A, is there any airline which uses less miles to redeem as compared to the rest assuming same destination?
2. I am still accumulating my citi PM points to use for maldives maybe in jan 2020. I note that long haul flights like US and Europe are more popular. Popular is it becoz the longer the flight, the lesser the miles required?

I redeem econ class for Maldives because even it is more value per miles for biz class. Imo I don’t think is worth to redeem biz class for Maldives.

This is also because I want to fly in the day to Maldives which is only available on SilkAir.

So far I have use Asiamiles to redeem for British Airway which is not too bad.

I will not use KRISFLYER miles to redeem for other airlines.

The longer the flight, the more miles will be needed.

I see. Based on the dates i have chosen, SQ does go to maldives but the return is operated by silkair. Guess i need to check the rest of the airlines under *A

For Krisflyer miles stopover redemption. Does it have to be en route.

E.g. sg - Frankfurt - New York.

So stop over in New York only.

Or can I do sg-London. I travel by myself to Frankfurt and continue to New York?

yea but i wanna do a stopover in Europe to visit friends.

I notice SIA has 2 flight to US that stop over via Europe.

SG - Manchester - IAH

SG - Frankfurt - JFK.

Just wondering if it's possible to do SG - Frankfurt - IAH?
