I always ensure I have enough kf points to redeem for return flight. But it's never worth it to buy one way ticket.

Short answer - it depends.

Long answer - before recent KF devaluation (have not checked the status since that) there were certain destinations where you will get full blown YQ for several hundred dollars on return ticket but you would not on one way. HKG comes to mind - on FT there are couple of threads in SQ forum about this.

not anymore the 'best'. you are looking at around 25% more miles required for Europe redemption ticket. If you don't mind having 1-2 stop, other *A partner offer more competitive rates

like emirates? I saw that ican redeem emirates flight using krisflyer but can't find any place to do so. Or is there any other *A's more suitable for flying to europe?

No. Emirates is not a *A partner so won't be able to redeem on that airline.

Hotline will advice on partner airlines available for your desired airport

anyone has experience redeeming round the world tickets on krisflyer?

availability of direct flights are not so good except for SQ. its also not allowed to fly back to singapore as transit stop eg. if in tokyo and planning to fly to london, we cannot fly nrt-sin-london for rtw ticket :(

which airline is more worthwhile to redeem business class seats? asiana airlines or thai airways?

anyone knows if i booked hotel via a credit card landing page promotion on expedia, will i still be eligible to earn miles on that booking ? My booking was in Dec 17 but i havent received any miles in my Krisflyer account. Also Another one in apr for Agoda but i dont see anything....

Anyone has experience getting the miles directly credited into your krisflyer account ?
Anyone successfully claimed missing miles before for discounted room rates ?

It actually depends on the fare code and terms and conditions of the booking. So please read the fine print.

Do you mean booking for krisflyer Hotels and serviced residences partners? You have to book from official website; 3rd party site like expedia do not earn miles per qualifying stay.

Hey all, need some advice here.

Read that SQ is resuming its long haul flight to New York (Newark Airport). I'm intending to fly to New York in Apr 2019 and am already looking out for flights. Is it too early to do so? Ideally I want to use my KF miles to redeem Biz flights. I'm looking at several options

SIN -> EWR (Saver not available, only Advantage)
SIN -> FRA -> JFK (Saver not available, only Advantage)
SIN -> TPE -> JFK (Saver available because of *A)

Otherwise, what would be the most ideal situation to maximise my miles?

TIA!

The first 2 routes are the hardest to redeem on saver as they are the flagship roure of sq.

Either take the 3rd option or request for *A redemption (SIN to LAX/SFO via SQ, domestic via United)

Yup...miles will only be given when you booked from official websites....especially airline websites....

If my friend’s father is a pilot. And he’s flying business class while I’m flying economy. Can I check in with him to share his luggage allowance?

You should be checking with him, isn't it? We don't know if he's a pilot with the airline or the t&c for him. Has this anything to do with Krisflyer?

Yes you can, go login KF and check if there is any availability for redemption on "Star Alliance Partner" when you search, if you don't see it on the list, that means no availability. SQ website sometimes not working well, you might have to complete your redemption via call center if you face errors while doing the transactions.

Thanks.I did check with SIA online redemption with "Star Alliance Partner". But it seems almost none there, and according to the note there, it seems SIA still "progressively" working on it.
