When you're booking, didn't notice there are different prices/offers there?

Avoid KSL area if you don't want the crowd, especially at this time of the year.

I booked directly from KSL site.
I paid RM234/day for the cheaper triple rm.
I also tried RM297/day.Only difference i get is extra hand towels,bath robe and plastic slippers and both without breakfast.

The 2 types of rooms, apart from the suites, are Superior and Deluxe that I read are distinguished as those on the lower or higher floors. Also read somewhere that the WiFi speeds are also faster in the Deluxe rooms, though not sure how it is these days.

Extra hand towels are not always there in the Deluxe rooms either, and all I normally do is to make a mental inventory of what towels are there when I check in, so that there's no dispute when I check out. Never really take note of the bathrobes since I've only stayed in a Superior room once...

Plastic slippers? I know there are 2 types of slippers provided, the room slippers which are like better-quality paper coz they can't last more than a night's stay, and the black & red (rubber?) pool slippers.

Breakfast... unless it comes free with a room promo, I'd rather eat in the many outlets outside the hotel.

Free with hotel. Need to give parking card to hotel receptionist so they can make it free.

Parked a few times so far no issue. Park where brightest.

Since you feel it's that cheap, why not book an apartment then tell us what you think after your stay?

If what you've seen is from AirBnB and consider it cheap, I presume you've already compared to what KSL has offered in their website? KSL-offered rates for apartments, compared to their hotel rooms, exclude room service which you've to pay extra if you want someone to come clean up after you each day. There's a kitchen in the apartments too, and even those with private pool!

On my first KSL stay, my friend booked an apartment as well as a hotel room. Spent the days at the apartment and nights in the hotel. A very good experience.
