any new and good food around ksl? within walking distance? besides the bak kut teh

That BKT should be considered one of the worst food there.

I won't say it's the worst, but simply over-rated. Been there only once, quite a while back, no intention to return unless people I go with insist on it.

Not new, but my regular haunts include the roast meat coffee shop, Yit Foh wanton noodles, roti canai shop - outside KSL. There's Cedar Foodcourt (outdoor hawker center) behind Hotel Paragon with their Chinese rojak, satay, oyster omelette, BBQ chicken wings, fish head curry from an elderly couple not sure if it's still there.

Oh, inside KSL, I tried the cendol from a Penang joint opposite Daiso - pretty good.

Again, good or not is subjective.

Most stalls open only in the late afternoon, mainly for dinner crowd.

I once went in the afternoon and only a couple of them were open...

Anybody tried the 霸王飯 at the basement? Something like our zhup cai png, every time pass by it wonder if it is good or not but didn't have a chance to try.

Have tried other zhup cai png in other parts of jb, kl, penang and ipoh and every one of it is really good, so curious to find out the standard of this.

JB best fried chicken at there, selling RM3.50 per piece. They sell nasi lemak.

Thanks, will look out for that. Shows how long I've not been there, as I've always only bought the BBQ chicken wings which are better than the ones from the other hawker center (on the other side of KSL).

Tried a few times.Food ok not bad.The herbal soup quite gd deal at RM$4 per pot.I like that there's not much crowd over there,no need to squeeze, got air con plus food ok and gd price.Tea is free too.Usually will go on check out day from D Esplanade as they open early enough and nearest. Will go there for a meal first than come back D Esplanade to collect luggage than check out.Very convenient.

So the fried chicken and nasi lemak stall is in Marmolada? Will keep a lookout next time I go there. :)

Normally go to Cedar Point after walking through the Monday pasar malam. Regular orders include oyster omelet, bbq chicken wings (still good after a few hours back in hotel room =:p ), rojak, and maybe pork satay. Non-pasar malam nights normally head to Marmolada where they've cold desserts there.

排骨王、面线、hor fun 、lemon chicken、claypot tofu, etc.
3 person eat full only RM60. I don't order single dish meal because feel not worth it. They got menu you can browse.

Oyster omellete Meldrum is still the best, better go before 6pm. Also the nearby bbq chicken.

For rojak and cold dessert. I will recommend go nearby 三楼 during afternoon.

So you guys want nice cendol? It's a bit away from city but it's near the new location of the 大马 food centre.
