I stayed there few times before. Overall was good except for the slow check-in and the lift.

seem that from own website no need gst and charges.

Does anyone know of a Chinese medical hall in or around KSL where I can get bottles of nutmeg balm from Malacca or Penang?

Can try the 土产 shops in KSL, there are 2 of them there. Normally they do sell this.

if going JB can stay at Grand Hallmark Hotel. Is at Taman Molek. In spore context is like our bukit timah area. 15mins drive to custom. Walking distance got restaurants, foot massage and chillax bars and cafes around. Think they having promotion 15% UOB card memeber discount if book directly with the hotel. Got free wifi and also security guard at night to jaga the cars

Can check if there are any buses that go to any bigger hyeprmarts in JB? Went to tesco in KSL Mall and it's a disappointment, quite small. Shopping centre also nothing really that much to see.

On another note, City Square Mcdonalds open already. Few months ago I went it was closed.

Go plentong Giant can walk over slightly further to Tesco too (facing Silka hotel, former Johor Dorset)

take a cab there. but don't take blue cabby! they will freaking cut throat! take the usual red color and becareful. try to speak in malay,it works.!!! lol

No need to be scare of...Just ask the taxi driver for the price b4 hopping into the cab will do. We always do that.

Yes, that's by meter and I've paid as low as $14-something to as high as $17-something depending on road condition too.

I normally stop at Tesco first, have lunch, shop, before heading for Jusco across the road.

The journey back in the evening, most will not use meter and I've been quoted $20/$25 depending on timing. Normally take from Jusco's side.

Best is to bargain usually can get under RM18

Actually outside Tesco tebrau entrance, you will see alot of taxi driver park there. You can bargain with them. That time I bargained to RM18 from their RM20. When reached city square, i saw his meter is RM16.00+. So overall, they don't mark up very high.

If you want a cheaper way is to take bus from JB Sentral or along Jalan Wong Ah Fook or halfway through alight and change to cab
