nothing much to buy. maybe you just want to eat and eat instead!

Example, you go to mahattan fish market in Singapore for a fish-n-chip, it cost you maybe, let's say S$17. but over at malaysia, it cost you RM17 or so.

that's the good thing!

another thing to add, if you like shabu shabu or you are in for atas meat, you can try kobe beef, it cost about the same price in singapore except that it is in RM. :s31:

hi BigMonkey,

i have quite a safe trip. no pickpocketing or any threat. There are a couple of beggar. whether to give is up to your decision. My partner gave a beggar RM5 and i was so afraid that the other will come but i'm surprised they don't. heehe...
Message parlour is quite aggressive but if you are firm enough then it should be fine.

as for buying of ticket, i would prefer to buy in sg. I book online which is more convenient rather than going down to larkin to buy when there's uncertainly whether seats are available. (where is the pickup point if you buy ticket from larkin? if its jb, then would you wan to travel to jb when you can have the comfort of departing from golden mile. :s7:)

i've edited my previous summary trip. I've forgotten to add the cost for the coach back to sg.

[S$32*2] - [$2 * 2](Discount) + S$3.60(6% admin charge) = S$63.60 (Back)

Heelo,

Thank you for the valuable information.

If i buy the tix from larkin, the pickup point will be at larkin bas.

from you transport expenses, to and fro
(S$53(to) + S$63.60(back) = $116.60 = 2pax
$116.60 /2 =$58.30 = 1 pax

From my observation, going to KL. The most expensive ticket can be RM$50(SSVIP or business class), buy from counter to ensure that they print a ticket from their system (not handwritten). On the tix will be printed with your aisle alphabet and seat number( no horse run 1). Touts will write down the price you pay without seat number on your tix(Horse will run far far), do not get from touts.

The point for all is, the savings are only RM$10+. Depends on which one you prefer, savings vs conviences.

For me, i will want to take the bas from larkin cos i like to observe people habit and culture along the journey, i wouldn't wan to get from point A to point B. Also, i can get ramley burger (RM$5) from larkin, but doesn't taste as nice as pontian one.

hey guys i've got a question to ask.

how much does it cost to get a shuttle bus/cab from Genting to KL and vice versa? is there a certain timing for the bus and where do i get the tickets from?

thanks in advance. :)

the fastest way is by plane, you save about 1 hour if you factor in airport check-in, waiting of flight, and you need to be at airport early. from KL Airport you have to factor in the journey you take to your hotel, while the bus will stop at the bus and i think you get a lrt at the top.

Thanks, found airline going to kl only $45 per pax, will reach at 830 am. Where can I chill ard in the morning till 12noon before all the shopping centers r open ? Mainly i'm going for sight seeing and food :s13:

Attention

For those going KL via coach in Larkin, Pudu raya bus terminal has finally been closed.

The temporary bus terminal is located at bukit balil , like 20mins outside city ( if no traffic jam). Also, there is a shuttle bus into city , puduraya, KL sentral for 2 RM.

There is also shuttle bus to genting at bukit balil. If not, you can go KL sentral or Gombak for genting shuttle service.

Head to twin Towers and join the queue to go up and take photos and see see look look. Then head down to Olio Dome at Berjaya Times Square for breakfast, good service and environment to chill in the morning. By the time you are done should be around 11am liao, the shops should have opened by then and you are now surrounded by Lot10, Berjaya Times Square, Sungei Wang etc.

if we head over to the twin towers at 7am, we'll have to camp there for another 1.5 hours rite? since they only start giving out tickets at 8.30am?
