From feedback of all threads... seem like they are very fast in their teaching... I am quite worried I cannot catch up... hmm... maybe call up tomorrow and check with them anyway. =) Any idea what type of leanring materials do they provide?
Personally, I think Bunka's pace is ok. The only problem is at their Intermediate 1 class... It's damn siong and intensive lor. But before and after that, it's all ok.

A lot of people tend to drop out after Intermediate 1 thinking that the pace will keep up but that's not true lor. Intermediate 1 is basically trying to cram you with all the "basic" grammer which is needed and will last throughout the other Intermediate levels.

just had my first japanese class at pyaess on tuesday. :) it was quite good i gotta say, especially the first half of the lesson where this male teacher was explaining to us the grammar. although he is not native, i find it is better as i can actually understand what he is trying to convey. :D
didn't know there's a non-native male sensei at pyaess. who's the "practising sensei"?

Hi all,

Just wanted to find out if anyone has good recommendations for English-Japanese dictionaries? Planning to get one, saw some at Kino but not sure which one to get, so many versions it is confusing..

i started the private lessons. Dict better get jap-to english..that's what my pte sensei said. She's using Progressive Jap-english dict. saw the price..kino selling previously at about sgd80.00. now not so sure. but i'll be getting it too...that one a jap word, they list out many meanings and the use of it.

then my sister wanted to get a "everyday conversation" kinda also. wait for kin 20% then you go buy..

then sigh...found online tranlstion site not so good..used online searching for a word, then went asked sensei, she told me 2 meanings of that word but online only gave one...*pout*pout*
