Seems like the design looked similar to Xiaomi 16000mah powerbank~ :s22:

xiaomi powerbanks are the best and the price is the cheapest. got quite a couple of xiaomi powerbanks from a year ago and they still work.

I am not sure whether Xiaomi powerbank are the best, but the price vs the capacity is cheap, no other brands can compare to their prices.

For Dell powerbank companion, I think the most attractive part is the 1 year warranty.

Not sure whether can power Dell Inspiron 7000 laptop or Dell Alienware R3 laptop?

As you have seen the details of the Power Companion, up to you. I have seen the Bluetooth speaker, its no match for my Braven, JBL or marshall bluetooth speakers.

I would not mind the Power companion, if it had the additional plugs for my Asus. If I can find... I dont mind swapping :p

Dell Bluetooth speakers has very nice aesthetics~

Since the tiny speakers of Dell Inspiron 17 7000 or even the Alienware 17 R3 speakers unable to produce any thundering sounds during gamings or movie watching, this Dell Bluetooth speakers comes in handy without even create a messy wiring on the table~

All new processor will come with Turbo Boost. It is usually enabled by default in the BIOS so by right nothing needs to be done.

As mentioned before in my earlier post, it will activated when you select "High Performance" it will overclock the speed to the max.

You can check your processor clock speed using tools such as CPU-Z http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html.

If you change your power option profile from Balanced to High Performance, you will see the change in clock speeds immediately.

Hope this helps.
Does the turbo boost in Dell Inspiron 17 7000 or even the Alienware 17 R3 create unnecessary heat and battery power consumption?

The Alienware 17 R3 on battery estimated battery life was only a mere 5 hours, when using turbo boost, will the battery life shorten to 2.5 hours, this timing may not even enough for gaming at public places without power supply. :(

I seen x51 paired with titanX in the graphics amplifier. Without the graphics amplifier, I think the x51 is limited to gtx970 due to space and power supply constraints. The newest x51 r3 comes with full Skylake quad core so pairing with graphics amplifier makes some sense than pairing with low power dual core CPU.

Otherwise it is also good to wait for nvidia next generation power efficient gpu to stuff inside the x51 r3 without going beyond its power supply limits

So now we changed the topic to ALienware R3 X51 har ?! =:p:D:D

Don't think local ISP will be happy to burn available massive internet bandwidth to allow for such cloud gaming service...

I'm sure they will be fine with it since they offer such fast speeds. In any case, this service works something like Teamviewer. If teamviewer can run on your phone with a 3G connection with a less than 1s latency, I dont see how much bandwidth it will require. It simply streams the game/application in real-time to your PC.

Of course it wouldnt give as good graphic performance (1080p only, not 4k) and fps rates will suffer surely, but it saves you from repeatedly having the need to keep upgrading your PC parts in order to play the latest games.

I don't think Alienware Alpha can do hardcore gaming as they never reveal the underlying Nvidia GPU model. Seeing only 2GB worth of GDDR5 available i guess it is a GTX 750 Ti or 950...
oh yah, you are right.
It is stated as "Graphics powered by a custom-built NVIDIA GeForce GTX GPU 2GB GDDR5" in the dell website. Nothing much liao.

You have heard the bluetooth speaker before?
4.6 stars on Amazon.

The power companion is more expensive, but I don't have a Dell laptop.
Don't know if I have the cables needed to charge my laptop.

Seems like whenever Dell got a great invention like Dell Power Companion or Dell Alienware Graphics Amplifier, other maker sure copy their technology.

Energizer has a similar 18000mah power companion for the laptops, able to power any brands of laptop including Dell Inspiron 17 7000 or Alienware 17 R3

so ish diz contest tokin abt Inspiron 15 7000 or Alienware Laptop or Alienware Alpha or Alienware Graphics Amplifier?
Everything, depend on the video teasers put up for the week. So far there is no video for Alienware Alpha and top prize XPS 13 so as speculated by most here, next week video teaser, high chance is XPS 13.

Every PC manufacturer will have some sort of 'Gaming' system, be it desktop or laptop. However the components they include in their 'Gaming' system are usually terrible or not bang for buck.
Before Dell aquire Alienware, Dell themselves also offer poor 'Gaming' systems.. much like Acer/HP/Lenovo/etc.
Just google <brand name> gaming desktop and take a look at their specs and the amount of money it cost. As long as the consumers learn how to DIY their own PC, these branded desktop systems will never get the gamers $$$.
Not sure for gaming PCs, I bought dell PC in their earlier days, quite good and durable, last at least 5years and above. It is still working well when I gave away.
From business perspective, although not all companies but it does make sense to acquire potential companies that are established in their expertise, saving the startup cost in terms of monetary or time which is usually the most enormous.

Sad to say, the 80/20 rule applied to the consumer market, how many are willing to spend the time and effort to DIY? Especially now computers generally are getting cheaper... remember those days PCs prices are in 2-3k or more?

At the moment touchscreen still a marketing incentive than a demand by users how often you will use touchscreen on Dell Alienware laptop when you gaming? users will prefer use mouse to point and click(first player game) or controller to make the movement.
Yup same sentiments especially for action intensive and long duration games where fast responses are required. Imagine with touchscreen, I think your hands will give up first.

This scenario is common when all Dell products like Dell Inspiron 15 7000 series, Dell 24 7000, Realsense Technology, Windows 10 Hello etc were discussed under one Let's Dell thread. People tends to messed their features. :)
Yes, I am confused as well initially, especially when all ended with 7000, Inspiron 15 7000, Inspiron 24 7000 and even venue 8 7000, as if all are from the same range.

think its more for other operations bah. u are still on windows os. theres so many things u can do with a touch screen. u will still be using the laptop for other purposes other than gaming.

Yes surface book is still smaller but also the XPS15 is alluring how Dell managed to fit the power in the small package. If there is one thing I find missing is the numpad on the XPS and alienware laptops.

The insprion 15 7000 uhd is on display at challenger shops, the size and weight to me is acceptable, and it managed to include a numpad! The left and right sides of XPS and alienware laptops have enough space to add a numpad

its a norm for 15" laptops to have numpad. the 15" MSI laptop at my home also has it..

The Alienware 17 R3 has a number pad. The other smaller models ie Alienware 13, 17 dont include them.

As mentioned before, having a number pad is essential to gamers as many games utilize it during gaming. The Alienware 15 got a ton of space by the sides of the keyboard, surely Alienware can find a way to fit a numberpad inside..

Surface Pro of course cannot compare to Alienware. Its simply a ultrabook in a different form factor. Same goes for the XPS.. its a ultrabook. Alienware is upgradable to the GTX 980M while XPS 15 is fixed at GTX 960M it seems. http://www.dell.com/sg/p/xps-15-9550-laptop/pd

I guess you can't call the Alienware 15 a ultrabook but rather a regular laptop since it weighs over 2kg. Nevertheless, it can still provide the mobility which users need. It is still surprising though, how they are able to fit such powerful performance graphics in such a thin gaming laptop.

Just realized Dell Power Companion did not power up Dell Alienware series. :vijayadmin:

This Energizer is much better option, come with its own AC adapter plus a broad selection of charging tips and wires which can use power up any devices.
