yaaay guys I got my black g3 from a SingTel shop today!! thank you for the advice.

I need a lil more help regarding the lollipop update. is it wise to hold off updating for now and stick to the stock kitkat? been hearing so many horror stories of lollipop having issues and I have experienced frequent app crashing on my lollipop nexus 4. want to rollback also too late liao.

should I update soon or wait for more patches to roll out first ah?

It is really up to you.

I am waiting for bugs fixes from Google before I update to Lollipop.

After the update I can't seem to get mio TV play running. Tried to reinstall the app but when I try to open the app it will close before loading to the main page.

I seems to be experiencing some lag in the new os. Anyone able to confirm this? Like if i type too fast, the text appears slightly later. Slight but noticeable.

does it help to backup then factory reset after the lollipop update? the feedback i read is that it works for some people but no difference for others.

Im gonna try maybe later at home. Hope it helps. Else the update is really bad. Cause im sure its after the update that caused this. the ui and all is pretty fine. Takes something getting used to.

Personally feel lollipop is smoother than kitkat.

I did not experience any significant change in the battery life. One thing I notice is it drains faster from 100%-90%, but overall the battery life is about the same.

I would hold off updating to Lollipop till they iron out the issues. I personally regret updating. For my usage pattern, Lollipop has added zero advantage over kit-kat, and in fact, some useful features have been removed like the tile view for recent apps, and the swipe-right to quick memo.

Add to that, my phone lags more now and the battery life is abysmal (drain 5% in 30 mins while on standby with 4G and wifi off!!) and charging the phone has become much slower

Did you do a factory reset ? Battery life was alright for me , especially after a few charge. I feel the phone is slightly faster than before on KK also

Personally I feel lollipop is much better than the last kitkat update from LG. There is little or no discernable lag on the new ROM.

Battery wise I think it is also much better than previous ROM. Standby from 11pm to next day 8 am is averaging 6% drain which is acceptable.

I did factory reset by the way (which IMHO, is a must) since OS base has changed.

I noticed the battery life got better after a few charging cycles. Now the standby time is excellent and the battery life is OK. I did not do a hard reset after upgrading. Definitely no lag and smoother overall.
