Where is the update? Where. Is. The. Update?

In the software department I think LG really got a long way to go while on the hardware, gimmicks such as volume button on the back, secondary screen are only to create a wow without too much ergonomics or practicality.

That may be just a coincidence bro. Should be battery issue. Noticed for both my g3 phones, battery lasts about a year before bootloop. buy a new one and pop it in and it'll be fine...

I hope it is. Let's see.

Also, I have a irritating problem. Whenever I receive any sms (only sms, whatsapp works normally), the camera flash goes off - blinking.

How do I turn it off. Im using the latest official firmware version. Previous version didn't experience this.

Go to settings - Accessibility.
Turn off under hearing, led flash for notifications.

Cheers!

Also waiting for local, more of wanting to have volte

Sent from LGE LG-D855 using GAGT

Yeah, I guess thats a bummer. There should be a way to enable it in global rom. Havent figured out yet. None the less, how many times do I used VOLTE? Practically none of the times. My 4G usually comes back immediately after I hang up.

Anyway must tell you that I love the battery life after 6.0 update. Solved alot of my issues. Cheers!

Waiting for comment like yours. Kidding.

I want good after sale support - easy and timely official OTA especially bug fix which I hope but not sure whether will solve my 4G connection issue or not. Thing went haywired after the last update and I even did a factory reset which only solve half of the problem.

Trust me. Timely update? I'm already thankful I'm on MM. Seriously, we should just enjoy our phones and worry less about other things. Anyway I dont forsee any more updates from LG. Thats the way they are. As long as you dont root, guess flashing the global rom is no biggie as it will be same as the singapore release, minus the telco crap. :)

I am experiencing boot loop. At first this happens when my battery is lower than 30%.

Then now this boot loop occurs all the time. And i have to continually charge it to just use the phone.

Im using the latest official version. Unrooted.

So is this a hardware (battery) problem or a firmware issue?

Hi guys, my G3 just got this boot loops issue. Connect to charger the phone works normal, unplug cable only boot loops, si peh sian ah. Search on the internet, it seems like the G4 also having this problem. Wanna buy also scare scare :(

Not sure if anyone has this problem but I have stopped using my G3 for about 2.5months now.

Screen freezes with some horizontal lines and it slowly fades to black. It becomes non-responsive despite tapping the screen and it only comes alive sometimes when I tap the power button at the back.

The screen response is intermittent and I did some research on the internet and it appears to be a faulty motherboard. Brought it to LG service center and was quoted about 600plus to replace both MB and the screen.

I like the LG for its big screen but am using the S7 now, still getting use to the smaller screen.

Anyone has this issue before?

LG is off my next phone's list. What's their latest gimmick? Detachable modules?

Those who have problem with the battery and bootloop pls go to LG service Centre, and kpkb. Ask them send back to Korea factory and demand a temporary loan battery . I got them to swap with me.

I have to keep arguing that it's not an isolated problem, many users have the same problem. Keep saying it's a design flaw, and batteries don't die this way, which is true. I can even say right now with certainty that it's the voltage regulator which controls the charging, failed. The battery thinks it's full but in fact its empty. So it's refusing to accept charge.

It's a battery issue according to LG staff when I checked with them this afternoon.

LG service centre is selling the batt at $40

Just to share, my mother's G3 had the same battery issue last year. As others describe, the phone is usable only when connected to charger.

her phone was rooted (by me, to apply SDfix) so couldnt claim warranty. Went to get a 3rd party battery and resolved the issue.
