No root. Default OS. Basically on 3G. Only using WhatsApp, no other messaging apps like Line, wechat etc. Usage is mainly email, some photo, YouTube, phone calls, messaging, mainly on Internet, not much gaming.
So good, envy you. Our usage patterns are similar. I installed 2 battery saving apps some more.

Dun be envious, u forgot different people set different brightness also :)

Yup, we are living in a country that power source is available readily everywhere we go. Either charge at home or office or at library is not a hassle at all.

Why stress over a few hours difference on battery life? Enjoy your gadget and stop thinking about how long you can use them. Instead think of how you going to spend more quality time with friends and relatives.

Gadgets has made the modern people less interactive towards each other. Even couples eating out prefer surfing web or replying messages than really looking at each other and talk.

If can, try not to take out phone during meals with family or friends. If not, why bother eating together?

Maybe need both parties to be on VoLTE then will hear a difference?

VoLTE should mean we can make voice calls using 4G network. However, when I tested it out, the phone always switches to 3G network while making voice calls. Not sure what's going on.

I tried it on Singtel, switched to 3G too. Probably not enabled or need to subscribe?

Nah ... I don't think we need to subscribe to have VoLTE. I'm on Singtel too, so maybe it needs to be enabled on their backend. Right now only S5 can do VoLTE on their network, I think.

I used to have the m7 and it was able to take photos in situations where the other phone just had a black screen (n5) . I think the point is the image quality is good enough for a majority of situations for most people for hp picture use cases

that might well be true.. but the rest of the phone companies have moved on and improved their phone cams much more than HTC. Even budget Asus phones have similar tech but better results than the M8 in terms of light gathering.

think u confused it with their 300mbps 4G, that one only the new S5 can.

VoLTE can be used on the Note 3.

i think what he's trying to say is that rather than trying to fix a problem (low light photo), they choose to use an older technology (bigger pixels) to fix one problem at the expense of other properties which may or may not be a problem at the time (eg sharpness of image, colour accuracy).

eg u have a nice car with aircon trying to go up a hill but not enough power. Instead of finding a better more powerful engine, you turn off the aircon, remove the spare tyre, etc. Compromises that at the time seem ok but in the long run will come back to bite you (weather too hot, tyre burst no air con while waiting for serviceman to come)

been using the G3 for about 3 weeks, and i have to say this is one of the worst phone i had ever use. Experiencing multiple auto restarts everyday since day one... went to customer service but was told to wait for OTA firmware update in late august, had the latest firmware update last Friday and restore phone back to factory default... still the same. I'm going back to the customer service to demand for a replacement!

mine is the 32/3 version, i suggest u might want to check your phones up time via settings>general>about phone>hardware info from time to time. Your phone may be restarting without you noticing it. Ever since i notice the problem, i had never monitor up-time more then 12 hrs....
