Indeed.. Just keep on using G4 until it dies or due for contract renewal. I thought of selling it away too, but gave up the idea since it will be hard to get rid of a phone with bootloop issue. Passing on this phone to another buyer is also unethical.. Hehe..

If I post it on Carousell, there will be many oppounistic low-baller..I might as well keep it as a reminder to myself about LG bootloop saga. Would you buy a G6 next time? Haha..

Indeed! Same sentiments. :)

Would be a hassle as well if it "loops" - which is a (mathematical probability) under the new owner.

Trading it in is best in my opinion.

Better to back up data to cloud more frequently.

Lg has shake up of top executives in the mobile division. Not doing well at all. The boot loop problem doesn't help.

I m doing backup weekly.
Might increase frequency.
My G4 running hot more often... Lag at times...
Recently also see more instances of "searching for GPS" while on the road with Google maps. Didn't have these problems B4....

Time bomb ticking

I've just recovered 4G Photo and data from my Kid's boot loop phone. it took me many tries for few days and finally succeeds. The phone is now at LG service center.

The other day I went to Service Center and was told the data in the phone will be lost after repair.

Any idea how to fix

Sent from LGE LG-H815 using GAGT

The fading number. The only way to fix for me is by restarting any other way?

did some googling is it call "image retention"?

if you see 'ghost images' on the screen of past icons/etc that have been on there for a long time then yea.

Send it to service centre to replace. The initial batch of quantum dot LCD all very prone to this problem, I replaced mine earlier this year too

Went last Saturday to receive my G4 from boot loop issue. Replaced from 505 to 606 motherboard. For some reason they replaced my outer case aswell.

Saw the G5 units. No wonder LG has replaced its top mobile execs. The removable module doesn't fit properly. There is a noticeable gap even after it is pushed all the way in. Saw the same issue in all the display units. Add to that, there are no other modules apart from the camera and DAC released during launch.

Please continue to diligently backup your phone. Many have suffer bootloop more than once...

i just hope that whoever they replaced their top execs with, will be able to produce a G6 whose design and features is motivated more by sensible choices. HTC has proved that a company who churn out 2 generations of bad flagships can still turn around and comeback so I wont write off LG yet and still hope they succeed next year

A lot of phone manufacturers are making radical changes for the sake of wanting to seem "innovative", looking at motorola now with its removal of headphone jacks and sudden obsession with modularity as well, i wonder if the Moto Z will be the next phone that become a victim of its own extreme changes

G4 with fingerprint sensor (AND WITHOUT BOOTLOOP ISSUE) would have been a game-changer for LG last year.

anybody's G4 heating up often? these 2 days my G4 keep heating up, especially the top area (near the camera) while its charging.

Charging also takes longer than usual nowadays, on the same charger i've been using the past year. Battery dropped exceptionally fast also, usually can last from morning till 3-4pm, nowadays only last till before lunch time. weird.
