this one machiam VIP customer, think they got the LG concierge service

this isnt a case of LG image being destroyed, this is a typical customer from hell, the kind you wish you'll never have to serve if you're in the service industry.

Lmao he need a chill pill. You only paid lg less than $1k you can't expect concierge service.

Yup, they have to understand it's production issue, no point venting anger on customer service officer

Indeed.. he/she can buy an iphone or any other Android phone and be done with lg.. No point getting mad with a hopeless company. :s13:

Yup. It's unfortunate that a phone with that much potential became as such.
The customer service officers are just doing their job - and a hard one at that - dealing possibly many such irate customers with many LG G4(s) being sent in on a daily basis.

Should any forumer or user who has just experienced the boot loop issue and am reading this thread before heading down, do spare some consideration for the staffs there. :)

yes, most component is on the mobo, if mobo is gone, so is every data inside. I suggest all G4 owners to save their personal files on microsd/cloud if possible

At least I'm prepared and backup everything on G4 first. Lucky for most of us who read about IT news. just waiting for the time it bootloop before running down to fix it.

To those that did not save data on cloud or phone don't despair

I managed to googled for a solution.

Here I took a risk and it actually works!!! I thought that all my data is going to be gone but that is not the case.

Here are the steps:

1) I put the LG G4 in the freezer for 15mins.
2) The phone managed to boot up for as long as it is in the freezer - you can put a plastic bag or ziplock back to prevent it from acculmating water as it is removed from freezer.
3) But take note, if the phone is removed from the freezer. The phone will go into bootloop again.
4) So I put my laptop on top of the fridge, and the data cable to connect to the LG G4 with the door shut.

So to those forgot to backup their data, here is the solution!

how do you all take slo mo videos on G4?
app or G4 camera?

http://recomhub.com/blog/how-to-record-videos-in-slow-motion-on-lg-g4/]
How To Record Videos in Slow Motion on LG G4

Turn on the LG G4.
Go to the Camera app.
Select format next to HDR Option.
Select the resolution for the camera and resolution for the video.

Now when ever you go to take a video on the LG G4, the video will automatically start recording in slow motion. Via the Settings options, you can set how slow or “fast” the slow motion should be.

x1/2 (slow motion effect is lowest)
x1/4 (slow motion medium)
x1/8 (slow motion effect is best)

It’s recommend to set the video camera speed on the LG G4 to x1/8, because with this setting you will have the best slow motion effect.
this does not seem to work

i want to be able to record something like this....

according to the G4 support -- http://www.lg.com/us/support/answers/mobile-phones2015/LGG4/camera-features

SN 505 using since August'15 still running fine.

Anyone knows if warranty expire still can go to service centre in the event of bootloop?

well I think most of us mentioned before already. they does allow servicing sometimes.

Thanks, wasn't following this thread. Just came in to check for news on unlocking bootloader.

Do try to sound like someone who are very knowledgeable in the boot loop issue. HWZ members are not to be messed with

only video I saw online about this is "BUG Manual mode on front facing camera on LG G4" so I think is a bug though LG front camera are totally capable of doing it.
