i see. Well i really do like removable battery though. Might thick skin and go for it but of cos wait for my g4 to die and then wait for the last mb replacement to die. Then by then time would have shown if v20 bootloops too.

If it does. Axon 7 with 2 yr warranty will be my next.

You can try your luck, because they didn't fix it in the first place. I hope they will replace it even for the last time out of goodwill. Your first motherboard serial number is 512?

can't remember the first, but second was 604. anyway service center offered last free repair which is great. have to say although the phone's reliability sucked, the service center is actually not bad as they are quite prompt and understanding

Hmm my 601 still alive. Hoping it dies though. So that I can get the last free replacement before it's too far from my warranty expiration date. Warranty expired on august.

Does anyone experience problem with their G4 whereby the camera focus seems to be failing at close range?

I've noticed for the past few weeks my shots have been out of focus. Did a test putting my hand in front of the lense to test the focus and there is about a 50% focus fail rate.

Dunno if it's hardware or software problem.

My wife G4 also got her boot looped while we were in oversea last week. Unfortunately the warranty just ended on Sept. Her G4 never encountered boot loop before that. May i know will LG sg service centre able to fix this problem without a fee? If yes, then how much it cost?

They have no choice lah, it is really their phone mb problem. Guess they trying to salvage some good will.

Samsung is also trying very hard too...

Bought LG G4 serial no 5XX around the same time in August 2015 too. Motherboard broke 3 months later and got it fixed but now boot looped.

Quite disappointed with LG. Actually lost confidence with both Korean brands Samsung (with their recent news) and LG.

Shall head down to LG soon to get it fixed (hopefully they repair it for free too as my warranty has expired too) first and decide what to do next.

Those who are getting a second G4 please think twice even if seller had told you that they had replaced the motherboard during warranty period.

Bro just go down to the service center, if its the boot loop issue they will fix it de since it is a known issue. My G4 kana the boot loop issue also today and I went down to the service center. They offered straight up to repair it for free since it is a known issue even though my warranty expired as well.

So far other than this boot loop issue I haven't had problems with the phone. Only thing is I wish the battery life was better. Using my old trusty G2 temporary while they fix my G4. They say will take about 1-2 weeks.
