where did you get your tempered glass from and how much is it ?

If you can apply yourself, you can always get from Taobao it is a lot cheaper about $7-8 per piece. Otherwise you can get from show like red white or mobyshop that includes pasting service, cost between $15-20.

As I was saying the tempered glass doesn't go all the way to the top due to the curvature of the screen. If you are ok with that then it should be fine

can anyone share if based on normal usage (not intense video playback, not extensive downloading from internet, not extensive gaming), can the battery last a day (sms, whatsapp, a few calls, facebook, a bit of internet) ?

So far i am able to last at least 16 hours to reach about probably 30% with medium usage. Like constant whataspp, fb and music.

The removable battery is really a plus point for this case.

Need some quick advice from you all.

i just changed from G3 to G5. And some of the nice features & UI tat i am used to in G3 is now all different in G5.

1) Where is a good place to buy Casing & the new USB Type-C cables for my G5?

I need to replace all the MicroUSB cables i have in my car, office, home & existing power-banks, with this new cable. **sian** No choice. So i need to get the new cables in different length.

Are there different type of USB Type-C cables i should look out for?

2) G5 no longer supports Wireless Charging like in G3?

3) What are those useless bloatware apps i should uninstall from the stock G5? I see apps like Deezer, Clipster, Toggle etc...which i dont use. Did u all uninstall these apps too?

Just wanna keep my G5 lean with the apps i use often. Do share your tips on what are the apps you removed. And any recommended good apps to install, besides the usual WhatsApp, Facebook, etc.

4) Any recommendations of 3rd Party App that are better than the stock App, like SMS, Calendar, Camera, Gallery & Contacts etc?

For example, i used to use Textra SMS over the stock SMS app.

5) Now if i want to highlight all the Text & COPY, it is not as elegant like in G3. I have to long-press on the Text, and press on the "Down" arrow for more options, before i can press "COPY ALL". Is there no other way than this, in G5?

Last but not least, pls recommend me some good mobile shops as i need to go buy casing & the USB-Type C cables today. thanks everyone. :D

How useful are the camera plus module ?

It just enable manual buttons for taking photos, with and additional 1200mah battery only right ?

And when using must take out from casing etc cos size will increase.

What about the B&O hifi sound module ?

Is it the same as the DAC and amp of the V10 ?

Or an upgrade ?

How fast will it drain battery ?

How is the sound of the G5 alone when compared to the V10 ?

Again, probably need to use without casing

I think is not quite easy to find lg g5 case. Maybe places like what others mentioned before. P20 etc, most of the cases that i bought were mostly from online. Alixpress and qoo10. Even screen protector is tough to find.

i think for screen protector even back in the G4 days I already had trouble finding. So I just buy online which is way cheaper anyway.

For cases the only G5 case I ever saw in local shops are ringke fusion and the flexguard case. I think if you go to any store that sells major brands like spigen or verus they'll only carry cases for apple/samsung models.

I like the module not because of the extra buttons but because it gives me a better grip. The additional battery only charges the main battery once a while.

The B&O module DAC (ES9028C2M) is different as V10 (ES9018C2M), while amp is same (Sabre9602C). It consumes 220mAh current when in use, you will feel the module is warn when listening to music through the headphone jack.

More detailed review of the LG G5 can be found at my blog. http://musicphotolife.com/2016/07/lg-g5-review-best-wide-angle-camera-smartphone/. Thanks for reading.

Generally the reviews you can actually see it online. In terms of performance wise, this is currently on par with all the flagships phone. However, generally the reviews and all still will point to galaxy s7e at the end.

The processor is somehow still better than v10 i guess. This snap dragon 820 is really a fast and speedy ones and the camera is really good especially with the wide angle.

Imo, i feel the g5 is quite good and under rated. But the battery isnt that fantastic as compared to s7e but the removable battery is a good plus point.

G5 is more compact than V10 (5.3" v nearly 6")
G5 is more powerful than V10 (SD820 v SD808, LG decided not to use 810 due to overheating issue, however coming as a G4 user previously, I did not encountered much issue with this. G4 do suffer from overheating but it's due to a bad firmware update)
G5 Rear wide-angle V V10 Front wide-angle (Both phone got 3 cameras including 1 wide angle camera.)

V10 seems to be a far more sturdy device though since it doesn't have a changable module.

Using G3 now

Almost time to recontact

G3 starting to give me boot loop problem now.

Lots of reports on boot loop problems of G4 and V10 (maybe not so much)

Now also got report on possible boot loop problem with G5.

So thinking hard whether to continue with LG or not.

And if continue between V10 and G5 which one will give less boot loop problem in future ?

Camera plus module - When you're using the physical button, the 1200mAh will charge the phone for a short while, possibly to balance up the battery usage. while it won't extend your battery life with normal usage, it should allow you to take much more photos. Do note that when you're using the physical button, the focus point will keep to the middle. It's not a must-have module for the phone but definitely useful when you want to take a lot of photos.

B&O Hifi - can't tell you much on it since I did not have a decent set of headphone. Like how the other users mentioned. It does feel a bit warm when using it.

There are casing designed for both modules, but probably the one that you can really keep it on is the B&O Hifi module since it just increased the height slightly without any extra bulk.

Tell me which other phones can take fireworks shots like this.

Fireworks

Not a lot of phone are marketed focusing on manual-mode like how LG does. It would be interesting to see how other phone fare for it with their own pro/manual mode. Are you able to share the shutter speed/ISO timing for these shot?
