I have just brought the G6 but facing problem when listening to songs while using headset.
Whenever I listen to music with the default music app and with my earpiece plugged in, the volume would automatically increase and decrease, the songs would auto skip back and forth, and the music will auto pause and play. Whenever it does that, a sound is played as if something is activated, but I can't find out what is activated. It is really annoying as this always happens.
Anyone has similar issue or any advise of the root cause is greatly appreciated.

Oh my god. Been using with a case since day 1.. Spigen slim armor. The camera glass got a tiny scratch now. I thought it's gorilla glass 4 for the camera glass?

how old is your phone and does the scratch affect the photo quality? it seems that scratches on the camera glass is a common issue.

What earpiece do you use? More importantly do you have more than one earpiece to test on your phone?

I have a similar issue with a very specific earphone (sony XBA C10) on my old G4.

On my G6 I again had a similar issue, with a very specific earphone cable I got from aliexpress.

I do not know the root cause but I suspect heavily that it's something to do with inline remote design and compatibility because in my case the problem manifests the most whenever I press the play/pause button. My most common symptom is a button press causing volume to drop to zero (literally can see the volume slider appear by itself and decrease to zero)

Not affecting at all. Very minor not even near to the camera lens. Just tried taking photo.

Yes you are right! I was using Sony headset and after changing to original LG headset issue gone.

FYI I have another sony headset the XBA 300, and its inline remote didnt have any similar issues.

My XBA C10 was an 'apple headset' so I'm not sure if it has something to do with it compatibility-wise. The general belief on apple inline remotes is always that play/pause works but volume up/down doesnt, due to differences in the signalling mechanism, but there may be other design factors that affect how an android phone may or may not handle an iphone headset plugged in

A extra layer over the lens might add ghosting when photographing light sources.

usually best way to tell is to take a night photo with street lights in the scene, and observe if you notice extra 'spots' of light offset from each light source (may vary depending on angle of the light source relative to your facing direction)

and then of course any kind of extra layer over the lens, whether its a filter or protector etc, may degrade image quality

ISO 100 now, since ISO 50 was so problematic. No more of that compression artifact nonsense

to be honest i kinda prefer last year's fireworks. This year seems to be nearly all red and orange coloured

bought mine from aliexpress

I believe the ones they sell have a 37mm diameter so you need to ensure you have the clip that has the same diameter then you can screw the filter onto the clip and attach it onto the phone

also due to the sheer size of the clip it will also block the power button so 1 thing i always do is turn on the phone before shooting then leave it on and clip on the filter

How does the ND8 filter look like?

in laymans terms, ND filter is just a piece of glass or plastic, it acts like sunglasses, blocking in some amount of light, it is used for long exposure shots where you need to reduce the incoming light due to the extreme duration that the shutter stays open.

The number in the name correlates to F-stop reduction, in layman terms, the bigger the number, the darker the filter looks and the more light being 'blocked'
