Anyone knows if LG V20 will get updated to Android O?
It should update up to at least 2 android versions. Since its the norm for most manufacturers. But "when?" is the question.
Tbh I don't really care if LG is intending to update since root is available now and hopefully ROMs for H990DS will be out in the end.
Unless u use NFC on ur v20, I would recommend to root it, the moment a simplified method is out for newbies.

But with root cannot use banking apps and netflex.

Some of Google’s changes to Android have made rooting harder to accomplish today, whilst at the same time devices today are more functional in some respects. We’ve seen a number of malware scares involving fraudulent applications able to root a device, and thus open up the handset to malicious interference from third party applications. Many delicate applications – mostly those involving financial services such as banking applications and Android Pay – will check if a device has root access and will not run if this is discovered. However, there are definite advantages in rooting a device for those of us who wish to tinker and modify our devices to fine tune them to our own personal specification. It’s good to see Android’s hacking and development community working on ways to circumvent 2016’s new security measures to open up our devices.

Is it? Hopefully they can get around it. I remember my note 7 and note 5 can use android pay with root. Using magisk iirc.
My last check long ago, magisk doesn't work. Maybe Google found a way to detect it. So, it been quite some time ago since I last root as I used Android Pay frequently.

Hi All,

I've just gotten a LG V20 and I hope that you guys can help me with some questions.

I'm trying to use line out with the phone and I saw that I can still change the volume after connecting to an external amp.

To my knowledge, if i can change the volume it means that it's not a line out.
Please correct me if I'm wrong.

So do anyone knows if it's a true line out?
And if so by changing the volume in line out mode means I'm not in line out mode?

Thanks. =:p
