If you want to root and unlock bootloader.. never ever buy a LG phone.. LG G4 bootloader is totally locked down.. I think its not possible to unlock V20 bootloader.

id rather question the legitimacy of that image

it looks like a photoshopped version of the V20 annnouncement event teaser which hit the news outlets on 24 Aug

This combined with the fact that historically, the LG social media staff in SG are totally clueless as to release dates. Who still remembers their vague "Early April" statement on FB for the G5's release? Its too unbelievable that suddenly their marketing here knows how to give exact release dates.

and of course like you said the image isnt on any of LG official channels here. At least for FB I can definitely prove that their staff STILL are clueless on exact launch date

So, the info for the advertisement for Oct might be wrong maybe?
But I'm guessing the release date might be on November which somebody email with the LG retailers (hopefully the info is reliable).

Well im trying to use my common sense to deduce that that photo looks fishy

1. no official media channel advertised that photo, just some guy on FB who isnt even a LG spokesperson, plus that photo looks like a modified version of the teaser announcement

2. it is not LG's nature to tell people the exact release date in SG. Even now on FB ppl ask abt V20 the LG folk all say dunno

3. current LG V20 rumous point to a 21st Oct release in the US. Is singapore realistically even capable of getting the phone 1 week earlier than them? Remember we got the G5 half a month later than them
