Just got my V20 last week (first LG phone) and darn..there're already dead pixels or dead 'squares' rather. Damn sianz when LG says their policy is no 1-for-1 exchange because nothing is 'unrepairable'.

Also questioned them why we get a different B&O earphone compared to those in US (who got H6). My earphone box has a 'Cresyn' sticker on it so it should be OEM by them rather than B&O themselves. They didn't bother replying too.

I really feel that our consumer protection laws are really too weak. I suppose in other 'ang mo' countries I might have a better outcome.

I suppose in AMDK country someone from the top will say sorry and hand deliver the actually B&O headset to u free of charge

They say it's not their (LG's) policy unless it's beyond repair. I bet if they say this in US, they will get a call from the relevant consumer protection agency.

Yup, you should ask 1-1 exchange from where you bought it from.

My previous g4 had dead pixels. Lg refused to replace the screen saying need like a certain number of dead pixels or that they must hinder user experience (eg right smack middle of screen) before they agree to change.

its a standard typical policy, laptop servicing pull the same stunt as well.

That's something I'm quite pissed off as well. Consumers pay full price for a product yet when there's a manufacturing defect the consumers have to bear with the inconvenience. Worse some companies refuse to repair it until you social media it - what's with the logic???

Unless the set is a resale unit or sold as 'it is' condition then I've got nothing to say.

All I say is we will always get short-changed if our retail laws remain the same (especially with CASE that toothless tiger).

This is why I'm all for Apple products. May be overpriced and all but customer service is good (not the A.labs and qcd they're horrible.) apple is opening their retail store here in sg so I feel even more assured. But right now my V20 works so there's no need to change :)

the phone? lazada price is ex leh

Yup the phone. Lazada 918 leh. I know the ah beng shops are doing 880 but the grey is all OOS until next month, which is a bit late for me.

Telcos doing RRP of 998 of course which is the most expensive haha.

I also bought from Lazada. Got the silver one. I don't mind paying a bit more, I got it on 0 percent installment for 12 months. Which is a good deal for me. :)

Was everything okay? I saw some bad reviews about Lazada, but I surmise that those might have been for purchases from third party sellers. The V20 is sold through Lazada direct, and you know, itchy fingers... Heh.

True. That's why even though I'm not a Apple fanboy I have to say that US companies that bring over their retail practices is a good thing. Not being discriminatory but it's quite common for Asian companies to 'yum' their consumers whenever they can...because they know the most they get is some backlash from social media that's all. I hope the scene will improve with Amazon coming in locally. Time for local retailers to learn a lesson.
