The last wide angle shot? That's at Asia Square, the open area below my office. :)

Most of the shots are just random ones. Seeing anything special or caught my attention I will just snap away. Ha ha...

But I do visit to events too if time allows.

So if auto setting won't be so good am I correct? Cos I am not good on manual setting. Always use auto setting only.

Sadly, yes. LG camera seems to be like that all along. However, you can use the "Manual Auto" mode - that is turn off the "AE-L" in Manual mode. The button is at the bottom right of the camera UI. I find photos taken this way is better than the full auto mode.

OIC thanks. Cos never use a LG phone before. Might be buying V20 and i like phone with good camera especially for night shoot which is very important for me.

I have to say thanks for your information and I do learn something from you for your
wonderful tip by switching off the "AE-L" does help me alot in night shot. Which I do face
some in normal auto mode in night shot pictures won't be in great details ..

And thanks again now I can start again my night shot with confidence without worry why
I always see my pictures feel like not so good at all. Please do accept my slow learning
of this camera photography lesson . :)

Haha.... you are most welcome. We are all learning here. Just to share my philosophy when comes to taking night shots - I always set ISO to 100 if possible while tweaking the shutter speed to compensate the exposure. Of course, the longest shutter speed I can use is ~1.x seconds before seeing photo blurs due to hand shakes. Otherwise, I will need to use tripod for longer shutter speed. :s13:

Ok , the end results of before and after employing the trick is of night and day difference compared to what I had experienced when I purchased the V20 and plug my 41ohms into it .

As I doesn't have any measurement tools at hand to give a proper numbers about exactly how many gains or power draw pull out from the Amp after the trick , so I'm unable to give any figures .

The result and from what I'm getting and experience from this trickery is enormous amount of amp power from the V20 to my 41ohms , the iem I been using along as my daily otg music companion s the infamous aurisonics asg 2.5 .
This phone although it's spec at a Impedance of 41 ohm +/- 10% @ 1kHz and with a Sensitivity of 123dB @1mW , has been proof from many that it's a kinda hard to drive iem when using with a mobile phone device as a stand alone set-up without relying on a external portable headphone amp to properly drive it to the maximum to its potential .

Although previously I had good music experience as a simplicity of just plugging in the asg to my HTC one but the results remains the same ( Underpowered ) of not having enough amp power to better drive the asg into what is designed and made for , but having said that , the headphone jack volume output from the HTC one is deemed as acceptable , as it's still within the lever which I'm used to .
But having an external amp like Creative labs E5 , Chord mojo to pair up with the HTC to drive the 41ohms asg is a different animal .

But the problem for most out there is portability , it's always a burdensome , troublesome thing for me to bring along a stack just for my daily music otg needs , those extra wires , cable , power bank and such .. at first it was a enjoyable experience when I purchased the E5 , Mojo , then a month or 2 later , it started to being a bothersome thing to do it . And slowly I left the slack behind and it's just my HTC one and the 41ohms asg .

The relationship between me , my trusty 3yr old HTC one and the asg as a stand alone otg music set-up lasted many many months until the power buttons , volume buttons on the HTC started to failed , as a result I had to choose another suitable , capable substitute as good as the HTC one or one with a much better spec to those of HTC one , to continued my preference of daily simplify otg music stand alone set-up .

I face a dilemma , the new iPhone 7+ doesn't has a 3.5 Jack the same goes with the latest HTC flagship devices . No 3.5 Jack ? I don't understand what's the rational reason behind the decision of doing away the 3.5 Jack from their device .
Yes some may say oh it's fine as you can always use a compatible optional adapter for the 3.5 Jack on the lighting , usb-c port , yes that's correct , but the main problem is when you found out that your mobile needs to be recharge and that's when you realize that there's no 3.5 hole available for you to plug in your beloved iem / headphones to continued enjoying your movies , music while charging at the same time .
It's a very useful thing to have a 3.5 headphone jack on a mobile phone device .
Hopefully , HTC , Apple alike would come to its senses and realized it was a mistake and bring back the 3.5 headphone jack on their devices .
After all imo , it's a non sense thing to axe away the 3.5 jack .

Now back to my dilemma of choosing a correct phone for my daily simplify otg portable audio needs , minus out the HTC , Apple , I focus and narrow down on the S8 , Huawei mate 9 , V 10+ , LG V20 .
All the above comes with 3.5 Jack , very capable chip with plentiful of speed for surfing , multimedia , tasks + gaming .
But audio quality is what most concerned me the most , I walked into starhub one by one I started to play with the above phone , to my surprise , there's no way for me to test out the devices with my 41ohms Iem . All the 3.5 headphone jack on the devices has been blocked out by a locking device , so no chance to demo whats the audio quality is like on those device with a iem .

Testing the audio with its onboard speaker is possible but that's not a decisive nor a factor enough for me to pick the correct phone , without the possibility of plugging in my 41ohms , I got to use my instinct , and surf the net for user review and rely on that .
I managed to further narrowed down the choice to mate9 and the V20 after much and serious consideration , the mate 9 is the most versatile and the most smoothest device I had come to experience , it was so smooth as butter as you're playing with a Apple , very very smooth and responsive without experience any lag during my entire demo operations , not a single lag or unresponsive .

I very much like it and its huge screen is another plus for me , but I had reserved with regards on its onboard audio quality , dac , headphone amp as such , my instinct tells me it's more or less similar to those of the Samsung S8 in terms of audio quality , volume level etc , and if I'm picking up the mate 9 and the audio quality is not what I'm expecting , worse comes to worse no choice but to hook it out with my creative labs E5 , or chord mojo .

So I joined the queue and tell the lady I'm seeking to 're contract my mobile number to a Huawei mate9 , she checked and confirm there's stock so I took the queue number and wait for my turn .
While I'm still waiting , I again take time to go through a couple of reviews on both the mate9 and V20 , there's not much on the audio side what is like with iem , headphone on the Mate9 , but there's plentiful of that particular info on the V20 , like it's precedent the V10 , its spot a very nice audiophile spec , on how Lg has positioned and implementing the 4 dac layout on the V20 , impedance sensor thing on its headphone jack , the output power of 2 Vrms ( the most highest of all in mobile phone ) etc , a bluetooth capable of transmitting APTX quality audio .

I had make my decisive choice on the mate 9 , but the V20 is still lingering on my head , particularly that output power of 2 Vrms capabilities on the V20 is the final deciding factor to enable me to ditch away the mate9 and a change of heart , then comes my turn , the first thing I said to the Cso is I want a change of mobile , I think I go with the LG V20 , I can see that Cso is quite surprised as I opt the V20 over the Mate9 , asking me why ? The Huawei mate 9 is a best seller and it's better and powerful than the V20 , he ask me you sure ? I said yes , i think LG V20 sounds better , I'm using it as portable audio more than anything else so it's good .

So happy to bring the V20 home with me then when I first plugged in my 41ohms asg 2.5 to it and I'm shocked with what I'm hearing with this V20 ! I turn the volume to its maximum at 75 , switch on the Hifi quad dac on the settings , download equalizer from apps store to try my utmost best to bring back my previous audio preferences like what I was used to experience with the HTC one , but to no avail , no way to pump it up , it was devastated for me in that listening session with the V20 on my 41ohms asg 2.5 , not a enjoyable listening session , very very disappointing .

I was sad , very saddening with the results , I pulled out my external amp , hook them up altogether and it's was easier , I'm starting to enjoying my music on the V20 with the E5 , mojo . But the thought of having a stack once again with my daily on the go left me with a bitter taste , for home use still fine I got no problem with it , but I got better option with the E5 on my X79 Acer Predator G7750 desktop with a big screen , but on the go with a stack ?

That's definitely not what I wanted with my daily otg audio needs , I want to keep it simple as much as possible , mobile phone + iem that's it , the best for me .
A asg 2.5 with 41ohms is not going to bring magic with the V20 , the headphone output from the V20 to the 41ohms asg2.5 is underpowered , low on volume , without any energy to speak of .
apparently the V20 onboard sensor has detect a less than 50ohms headset , so it's natural that the V20 has limit with the amp output and not been utilizing the 2 Vrms high output power to the 41ohms asg 2.5 .
So what's my next best option? To continue using the V20 as my simplify stand alone set-up otg , I need to put aside my beloved asg 2.5 behind and go out there to source another iem which has more than 50ohms to be able to bring out the V20 maximum potential .
Which means I need a set of iem with more than 50ohms . It's hard for me to give up the asg 2.5 for this reason , I fully enjoyed what the asg 2.5 brings to my music , previously I had try the , ibasso it03 , 64 audio u8 , u10 ,u12 , shure 846 , campfire Jupiter , andrometa , even the Vega , but not only the price is of a concern , but I can't get the better out of them like the way I'm getting out with the asg 2.5 , sonically the signature , sounding coming out from the asg 2.5 is so so special which is the only pair of iem which I loved the most , until I find another one better than that . But no luck yet .

And the thing is , I'm not ready to ditch away the asg2.5 with another higher ohms iem just to pair up and take the advantage and the most out from the V20 , I think there ought to be another way of doing it , maybe rooting the V20 is a possibility , but I need to find out if there's really a solution to solve the problem .

I surf the net looking for solutions the whole day last Saturday , it was the 2nd day with the V20 , I plug in the B&O headset which original comes with the V20 , it's clean cut , but still it's kind of underpowered , it doesn't excite me in any way and it's still far from my expectations , good for normal / casual usage no more than that , it may be just enough for a average user which doesn't have high expectations with their music as long as it got sound coming out .

Not long searching I come across the trickery method of trigger the gain , amp output on the V20 with just 2 jack without even have to root the device .
I followed the instructions and purchase the 2 Jack as shown in the picture .
A 75ohms adapter Jack + a L right angle extender Jack , I source the 75ohms Jack locally , and ordered the L Jack from eBay earlier , but luckily I found a piece of 3 pole L extender Jack at carousel , so I grab it for $6 , but it's ok because 2-3 weeks of waiting is such a pain .

I followed the procedure on the instructions on how to use the Jack to trigger the V20 into high impedance gain , amp output and BAM ! It works ! It works as advertised !
Thanks to the person whom originally found out the trick and share out to the mass in the open forum .

I don't have the figures or numbers to share in regards of how many amp output has been drawing out from the V20 with the trick , but I can confirm the trick works and works magically .

Sonically , compared to what I was having and experience beforehand without employing the trick , the overall sounding was full of energy , clean , no hiss , zero noise floor with my 41ohms ONLY asg 2.5 . It's full of enormous amount of output power , with plentiful of volume level to spare , previously I go all the way up till 75 and it's still quiet on my 41ohms , now after employing the trick I'm on 40-45 range , more than that or more than 50 , I reckoned it would blow and damaged my eardrums and left me deaf .

Ok , this trick is not only just as simple as of about having higher volume , the V20.still attain the overall audiophile quality with a higher volume output , absolutely no floor noise , zero hiss on my asg 2.5 with clear + clarity on all fronts , and I guess this is due to the 4 dac being activated at high gain mode , and how the way LG has implemented , shield off interference and line up the 4 dac in within the V20 chassis .
And one could even do the extra mile with a equalizer from the apps store to further tuned how you want your music to be , With manually tinkering with adjustable equalizer , the bass can be tight and can be as booming as you wish .

And please do take note and remember that , those above are done without the help of a external headphone amp .
The simplicity of just having just a mobile phone + a pair of high quality with Low Impedance of under v50ohms Iem / headphones for daily high quality audiophile on the go needs can be truly achieved with the V20 , without external amp and having to bring along a slack .
With its high gain mode and its high 2Vrms output , the V20 doesn't need the help of a external portable amp to give you high quality audiophile listening experience .
All you need maybe is to bring along a 12000mah powerbank .


Ok , I know this is a long post , but I want to share my experience out here to user whom love music and didn't owned any higher than 50ohms iem / headphones , but has owned several high end types of Iem / headphones all which is under the Impedance of 50ohms , to invest in the 2 Jacks and trigger , unleash the power within the V20 and drive the high end low impedance iem / headphones to its highest potential .
For V20 user which owns low impedance high end types of iem / headphones , I's worth to spend the 20+.dollar .

My PC is unable to detect the phone. Only can charge but unable to do data transfer.

Any help please

Try on other PC?? Also did you tap on the USB connection to change it to file transfer on the phone??

hi all,

was suppose to wait for v30 to change my new phone. but so far the leak shows grim features for the v30.

As such im considering to get v20 now instead.

Anyone have review for this phone? any known issue? how is the camera and the video?

Is it worth to switch to this phone? (im using LG G4 now)
