I just read that starting pay for degree grads and masters grads r less than S$1k/mth in Malaysia. With food and stuff getting more expensive in JB, the locals must be suffering.

But in my recent trip there, see those roadside stalls selling 3 sticks of meat/yong tau foo for rm1 doing good business. Must sell cheap.

Really quite a variation. From that to Dragon I restaurent where wr spent rm125 for 2. Also had decent meals for about rm60 for 5 in our recent trip to JB. Food is generally cheaper than Sg still thankfully though prices have creeped up.

The wonderful thing about living in Austin Heights is that there r so many eateries just outside my estate and nearby in Aeon Tebrau and Tesco.

Had strawberry cheesecake, fruitcake, coke and avocado milkshake for rm25 for 2 which is like S$2 for each item in a very nice restaurent. How to find in Sg?

You can write whatever you want...its just a piece of paper with pencil/pen marks on it....

When he approached the bank cashier at the Holland Village branch of Standard Chartered Bank in 2016, robbery suspect David James Roach, 28, allegedly placed his right hand in a bag which he put on the counter.

The action, coupled with the hand-written note with the words, "This is a robbery, I have a gun in my bag", gave the impression he was holding onto something inside the bag, said court

If I'm the cashier I will do the same thing.

It is foolish to assume it's a fake.

You mean like the signature you signed on a bank cheque or a bank withdrawal form? All worthless?

In singapire you don't need guns. You just need to hand the bank a note saying this is a robbery the counter person will give you the money...

It's probably their SOP not to resist bah. You don't want to be a hero and then someone gets shot or stabbed and it's not even your own money. Anyway, I bet banks are all INSURED against robberies. And in Singapore, very hard to pull off those Hollywood type robberies where 5 guys rush into a bank with AK-47s + body armour. :s13:

Yes. You do realise that anyone can forge your signature, right? It happened many years ago that is why now counter staff require to see your IC during withdrawal.

Using pass card and password at counter also requires IC mah, it's not about forging signature.

But i don't recall bank staff asking for IC when you deposit cheques at the box?? :s11::s11: Still get credited right?

That is a different reason ma. Counter staff wants to see your IC to verify that it is really you.
