Anyone tried it in Brisbane ? How is the connection?

hey , sorry i like to know it is 4g or 3 g, my dec trip is to the north side of Aomori and Akita and TSURUOKA/ yamagata, those kind of ulu ulu places, just like to check it able to get 4 g or not.

Also (post too long) $25 is for per month or 1 time payment? Thks

Good that they changed to calendar month now. Billing cycle before that was ridiculous.

I also planning to port to m1 and going to japan soon as will be staying for few month so can enjoy the m1 passport using existing data

Curious now m1 is on docomo will get 4g or not I'm on iphone

Will be in sapporo and tokyo

Nope, by default it's based on calendar month from now onwards.

All the while is billing cycle just that someone said it id calendar month, so just need to clear e doubts.

Previously it was. Just change recently.

it say :Free activation fee for Data Passport sign-ups will be valid for any Data Passport sign-ups within 2 years from the date of sign-up / re-contract on eligible mobile plans.

so does NTUC member get free activation?

It depend where is the place u go. I went to Japan in the beginning of the year and my signal shown 3G or H+ . The internet speed is still alright .

Needs to check which network and your phone support japan 4g network or not too

Singtel already offer $20 1gb for 1month promo and with 4g support

Used M1 Data Passport in South Africa in Aug 2016. I have two M1 lines,and I activated both lines with Data Passport and Network Lock. Bill came this Month and 1St line is no issue with Bill. 2ND line claim I have incurred MTN roaming charge of $399, and Vodacom roaming charge of $0.60.

I always checked my phone display and make sure it is Vodacom (top left hand corner of phone) before I used. And I have selected Manual service provider as Vodacom.

Called M1 customer service, but CSO said I have disable Network Lock and did not choose the right service partner. He insists the billing cannot be wrong.

Now it is their words against my words. Apparently I received several SMS from M1 during data passport activation and data usage warning, but none of them is about Network Lock.

Raise a billing dispute with M1, but not sure if it is helpful.

For those who intended to use this service, make sure you screen shot and keep all your SMS from M1, otherwise it is their billing against your own words.
