You also said ur MacBook also does not work too? So u bought a defective Mac mini and MacBook then?
Well, believe it’s a compatibility issue. Also this is with my LG 42C3 and Alienware AW3225QF. For hdmi direct, no issues.

noticed that when I try to wake my MacBook Pro M4, my AW3225QF doesn’t detect any display, have to plug out the hdmi and plug in again for the display to be detected. This doesn’t happen with my previous M1 MacBook Pro.

haha i mean after his contract ends.
Definitely looking at Starhub. And stinktel 5G turned out to be a big disappointment. On paper very impressive but on NEL its useless. Either no coverage or damn slow. Even worse than my Starhub 4G which was ok except for Serangoon mrt station for some reason.

At this rate probably my ISP & mobile provider i will all use Starhub.

Apple hoots completed for CY24!
MacBook Pro Max M4 14” and Mac mini M4 Pro both maxed specs (except storage at 1TB, as I’m using TB5 storage, cloud and 2xNAS)

CY24 apple hoots so far…
iPhone 16 Pro Max 1TB, iPad Pro 11” & 13” 1TB, iPad mini 512GB, AirPod 4 ANC, official accessories (and the above new hoots) 😁

Almost forgotten about these Apple Watches series 10 titanium, ultra 2 and straps… 😅

Question. USB-c/thunderbolt to 10Gigabit ethernet , are they any good? if not, i have to return my current base model mac mini and get a custom.

Might want to upgrade my broadband to 10Gbps next year.

No issues using them with my Mac Mini M1 (tested three cheaper ones from IOcrest, GRiS and XikeStor). They mostly use Marvel AQC107/AQC113C chipset and may have problems with Windows, no real issues under Linux and macOS. Among the three I do not like the bigger XikeStor one since it has a fan with audible noise.

That being said, if you can wait, then it is good to get the Mac Mini M4 with the built-in 10G network adapter to save one TB port. The cost adder of S$150 is also quite reasonable compared to external more branded TB3 to 10G adapters (eg: OWC and QNAP). Even my cheaper China brand ones all cost more than S$100.
