I have the hi-res anti glare. The glossy do have slightly more vibrant colors but the thing is, most of the time I'm looking at my own reflections. This pretty much negates all forms of advantage from a glossy screen.

Definitely the anti-glare over the glossy.
Moreover, the anti-glare comes with a silver trim which is a lot nicer IMO

I see I see. How's the font working for you? Is it too small to read? The pixels is higher right?

I'm currently using it on a mStand as my 2nd monitor. I'm sitting approximately 1 arms length away and the fonts are not too small. I reckon they should be big enough if you use it as you would normally use a laptop.

I can't comment on the color being more real and true, it seems to match closer to my U2711 compared to the glossy screen.

Thanks for the input. Really appreciate it. I have been using matte screen for a long time. My thinkpad and U2311H are also matter.

I think I will go with the matte screen. Thanks once again.

I believe when you purchase your MBP, it will come with a Mac OSX Lion DVD?

Hopefully it does, or else I got to produce the bootable disc....

I just got a MBP and loving it so far.

Is there a way I can get time machine to back up to one of my NAS drive? I have both a Dlink and QNAP NASes.

is there anyway to make the address bar and google bar bigger on my 27 in imac? I put the display about 1m from my chair because my table is quite deep and am using a larger font setting. Some website do get a little screwed up but most are fine. Any good way to resolve that too?

Hey guys,

I experience a strange problem with my Seagate external hard drive. A couple of weeks ago, I was trying to transfer a video from my 2007 MacBook to the hard drive when the transferring process would quit unexpectedly, followed by an error message. The hard drive will be detected by the MacBook sometimes, appearing in Finder and whatnot. Other times, the hard drive will be spinning, but nothing appears in Finder.

Initially, I thought my hard drive broke. A couple of days later, however, I tried to transfer a few videos from the iMac at home and, surprisingly, it worked without a problem. I tried reading the hard drive on a PC computer as well, and it worked out just fine. Is there something wrong with my MacBook, and is there a way to solve this problem? I am using the same cable to connect the hard drive to the MacBook.

Like I said, it detects the drive sometimes and not others. When it doesn't detect, the hard drive spins but nothing appears in Finder. When it does detect, transfers may not always work between the computer and the drive. Any ideas?

Prob something wrong with your USB port or cable. Go check those out.

hi all

i've started a thread on my questions but no reply. so wondering maybe i get some response here.

i used to able sync & import my videos recorded in iphone4 to my iMac iphoto, but lately i'm unable to do so as there's a error message stating "Error downloading image. iphoto cannot import your photos because there was a problem downloading an image".

sync or import photos is no problem, only videos (those recorded videos using iphone4).

I'm using iPhoto 09 version 8.1.2

is it because i need to upgrade to iPhoto 11 version 9.1.3?

if there's a link/thread about this, please direct me.

hi guys if i have a 7GB dmg file, how can i burn it to my normal dvd r? can i use 2 dvdr for that dmg file like disc 1 of 2 and 2 of 2?


Is there any mac application that can auto split the files and burn them?

coz i try to use mac native burner but it kept complaining that not enough space. And i thought they are smart enough to continue to another dvdr...
