You seriously need to google or read the FAQ. :s8:

They are completely independent. No such thing as pre and post requisite.

just curious, why would anyone buy a Mac, and install Windows? especially for the Intel-based Mac, wouldn't it be very non-Mac? only the physical appearance is Mac only.

Quick question from an imac-to-be owner

Can the imac view files on other PCs in my predominantly XP-based network?

And if I connect my NAS, (I think it's in FAT format), it should be able to view the files right?

Last but not least, if I burn files on my XP PC on a backup DVD, can it be read by the imac?

TIA

Oh! I always thought To: is a compulsory field. Thanks!

Some email servers may bounce back your mail if there's nothing in the To: field...

I usually enter my own email in there and put the rest in BCC

Some also throw it to Spam when it's not filled with one of their addresses.

Just a quick question, can't seem to find the answers in Google when I searched.

I am able to access my macbook from my pc, but not the other way around. windows sharing and samba has been activated already. command+k which takes me to "go to server" and entering smb://10.10.10.2/abc ends up with an error 36.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

how to join 2 avi files?

as per title, i wanna combine a movie that's split into 2 700mb files. tried Split & Concat but doesn't work. I simply renamed the files Redcliff.avi.001 and Redcliff.avi.002 is this correct? Doesn't work for me.

then i googled and tried iMovie, the import of the files are successful but doesn't show up in iMovie. When i deleted the event, inside trash's iMovie temp folder, i can find the 2 avi files that i imported. Why doesn't it show up in iMovie?

what other alternatives (free if possible) are there besides the above 2 and QT Pro(which i don't have)?

thanks in advance!!

avi is not a friendly format to work with iMovie. You can convert the file from avi to mov using this. :s22:

hey i've just tried merging video files with VisualHub, and by the looks of it, there's no problem with the final product. it's free and maybe you can give it a try.

the strangest thing to happen to my macbook to me just occured, first i plugged in my windows based external HDD, and tried to delete some files.(ok should have read apple faq first) but with that aside, after i plugged out, i contniue to surf the web till i tried to launch my itunes. it couldnt launch !, its like fixed there, i enabled the animation which usually have the bouncing effect when the icon is clicked. i tried clicking at from Finder there, but to no avil. lastly thought restart comp, but cannot restart, just tiao down there. so quickly go online find for reason, freak, now safari programme not working.

lastly i manually restart my laptop by pressing the on/off button for bout 10 sec, everything is back to normal.

my question is that is this normal ? or is there something that i did wrong.

To my knowledge, you can't just upgrade the keyboard.

Nah it doesn't make any difference at all. I type all the same after office hours without any lights and it's still the same. Actually we don't really look at our keyboards when we type do we?
