OS X is NOT Windows so you cannot use applications made for Windows on a Mac.

An analogy is, Windows speaks Japanese (.exe) and OS X speaks Chinese. You bring over the Japanese to OS X, it will not understand.

OR

A petrol car cannot use diesel and a diesel car cannot use petrol.

There are OS X applications that can do the exact same thing, you just have to find it, try Google.

Has anyone kept their macbook in your air-conditioned room overnight when you sleep?

I'm kinda worried condensation will occur in the macbook when i bring it out from my room to elsewhere. My room temp is 23 degrees btw.

I heard there are users' macbook got water damaged eventhough they never had a water accident before, could condensation be the cause?

How you guys think?

I think it's partly due to the humidity in Singapore. I think the most obvious effects of condensation (appearance wise) would be on the screen? I haven't seen it myself though. However if your MacBook was turned on for quite some time, I would say condensation would not occur internally due to the slightly higher temperature within the enclosure.

Btw, how's your Mac experience coming along?

Mac is awesome. No leftovers during uninstallation like windows does.

I still need sometime getting used to how mac works. I'll get confused between dmg files and another format which requires installation like flip4mac.

Dmg is the best, no installation, just use it from the start.

With regards to condensation, i think its cooler within the enclosure because that's where the metallic parts are.

I think its really too high a risk to leave my macbook in my room...

No point spending more money now so you can get one stick, memory prices tend to fall over time so if you want to upgrade in the future, best is to do it ummm in the future? lol. No point spending more to keep one slot free now.

Having two identical sticks also allows you to run the memory in a dual-channel configuration.

Thanks man. The info on dual-channel is great. Now I will consider the 2 x 2gb. Thinking of installing dual OS. That require more juice.

will consider. if the price drop in future, remove the default 2 x 2gb and buy another pair of 2x4gb. Max it out!

Change internal HDD you mean?
No you will not void your warranty.

No there is no max capacity.
Max cap depends on the sizes of the HDD you purchase.

Adium is not the only MSN messenger like app.

You can check out aMSN, Microsoft Messenger and a couple more I think.

Google's your best friend. Don't know about Garena though.

I dont think macbook can support garena. graphics card and ram not enough to support.
