hi guys! i manage to clone my mac hdd sometime ago.. i wanted to install boot camp after cloning. i was unable to do so. a message popped out mentioning "the startup disk cannot be partition or restored to a single partition". any idea wads cos the problem that preventing me to install windows?

i understand tat super duper do not clone windows partition. so managed to clone only the mac osx side.

hey guys, my laptop has been like taking 40+ sec to boot up, is there something i can do to speed it up ? it use to be under 30 or 20 sec, now its taking too long. currently there is 17gb of free space on my HDD and im running on OSx leopard.

Came across this rather cool tip:

To add a "Recent Items" on your dock; do the following: (for OSX 10.5 and above)

Open Terminal

Enter the following:

defaults write com.apple.dock persistent-others -array-add '{ "tile-data" = { "list-type" = 1; }; "tile-type" = "recents-tile"; }'

To kill the dock enter:

Killall Dock

After you dock re-appear; just end the Terminal session by typing:

exit

To customise your new "Recent Items" Stack; just right click and customise!

To remove this Dock Recent Items; just drag & release to the 'desktop' as normal.

That's a very weird question in itself. Are you talking about RAM or hard drive space?

1 I have a HP LASERJET 1020 - this I USB it - but cannot print - cannot select.

2 Then I tried to run and install the drivers for Lexmark S405 wireless printer.
It says installed and Done.
Then when I wanted to test print - they ask me for IP address???


Please help me thanks a zillion

I dont understand why you're installing lexmark driver on your mac for HP printer?

Before you connect your HP printer, make sure you have the latest software updates.

After which, connect your printer to your mac. Go to sys preferences, click on print&fax. Click the small "+" icon and add your printer. Set it to default if necessary.

click on the apple icon at the top left of the screen and select "about this mac".

A window should pop up indicating the OS version. Click the OS version repeatedly until it changes to a string of alphabets and numbers. That is, your serial number.

Alternatively, just refer to the base of your macbook.

Hello everyone,

I'm a new Imac 21.5 owner for about 1 week. It's totally different from using window vista, therefore I've got several problem that I need ur help.
1)I've downloaded youtube, adobeflash & others but unable to open them up.

2)Is there a way to use a password for initial log on of the imac?.

3)Is it possible to download excell,words & powerpoint for imac?.
