For a big ticket item like an iMac, I would definitely recommend AppleCare. My screen conked off recently and thanks to warranty, they came down to repair it FOC. Definitely will save you a lot of headache down the road.

Basic 27” iMac can more than handle diablo3 on 2560x1440 res. For other more intensive games like darksiders 2 (via bootcamp), you either run it at 1920x1080 (windowed mode) or upgrade the graphics. It is not quite enough to power 27” screen worth of gaming.

Thanks bro.. Plan to upgrade fusion drive n gpu. Getting AppleCare and office mac student n home.

Any place to reco for e purchase? Was thinking of juzz1, and/or wait for it's how maybe better bundles on e custom set...

If yours is a 15 inch MacBook, there won't be any problems. 13 inch ones will struggle.
Oh and I highly recommend ALL MacBook users do the optibay mod. You will never look back and regret

Yes. A small power is still drawn when in Sleep Mode.

imac end 2010 user here. i have a bit of problem. I just installed vmware fushion and windows 7. manages to dl bf3 on windows 7. but somehow, it keep showing this when i run the game.

Hello people,

I have these following issues with my Macbook. Please do advice me what I can do to rectify/resolve the problems that I'm facing.

1) Blue screen error @ windows partition
- tried to resolve the error but to no avail hence I have decided to reinstall the entire windows OS at boot camp.


2) logged on to Macintosh OS, tried to delete the entire windows OS by re-partitioning it.
- forget my password to authorize the action
- tried to remedy by using 'Mac OS X install DVD' to reset the password
- inserted the 'Mac OS X install DVD' and restart my laptop
- upon boot up, hold onto the C button

brought me to the following screen

waited for a couple of hours, but still nothing happen.
all I could hear was the spinning of the CD for 5-10seconds, then it will start to slow down and eventually stop.
This process keeps on repeating itself.

anyone can advice me on what to do next?
If all else fails, I guess I can only bring it to Apple Support.

Saw Eserve Singapore, and wonder how much would they charge me for this 'consultation'. Anyone had similar experience and care to share how much would I be charged?

My friend can run d3 in his 2011 MacBook Air with 2 gb ram quite smoothly (in low settings). Shouldn't be an issue for MacBook.

Normally for this case can be either software corruption or hard disk crash. If your computer is still in-warranty, I advise you to send it to repair. If no warranty, prepare to pay huge sum of money. But anyway, all data will be loss.

if you have applecare protection plan and diagnosed as hardware failure, can arrange for onsite tech. if the imac does not have APP, you have to bring it down yourself.

To be frank, there is no such thing as MAC support for external HDD should they comply with the necessary interface of either USB 2.0/3.0, Firewire 400/800, Thunderbolt, ESATA(require external ExpressCards)

All you need to do is ensure the filesystem is cross platform recognisable between Mac and Windows. For different versions conbination of Mac and Windows, the common denominator is different. But you can be quite safe if you stick with FAT32. This is the lowest denominator of filesystem that is interoperable between Mac and Windows.

Should you decide to use a NTFS driver which is freely available or if you want more performance for a commercial product, you can upgrade the common filesystem denominator to NTFS.

if both your Mac and Windows support ExtFS, you can choose this as your filesystem for your external drive too.
