Restart your mac and hold CMD + R to go into Recovery. Then select Disk Utility and choose First Aid on your main disk. Let First Aid run and click Done when it completes. Restart your mac and retry the update.

It works for me.

I am developer beta 11.0.1 , how can switch to public download ah? I remove the profiles still give me 11.0.1 release candidate 2.

Updated. I do NOT like the interface one bit. Cook's iPad-ification of the desktop went too far with macOS11.

Already regretting the update somewhat. OS X will remain fondly in my memory.

Or just retire my Mac and go back to Windows 10. I use my Windows machine more since Office for Mac doesn't have everything I need.
