MCT Offers Cash-Only Consideration Alternative to MNACT Unitholders with Full Backing from Mapletree of up to S$2.2 Billion for MCT’s Preferential Offering

https://links.sgx.com/FileOpen/2. M...21Mar2022.ashx?App=Announcement&FileID=707676
Option to receive all in cash of $1.1949.

Update: In fact, the cash-only option will become the default option.

Formerly it was either 0.5963 MCT units per MNACT unit / 0.5009 MCT units + $0.1912 per MNACT unit.

The current market prices (MCT $1.89, MNACT $1.19) seem to envisage that all MNACT unitholders will take the cash, except the Sponsor which will still be taking all in new MCT units.

Mapletree Investment will end up subscribe to all the units under the preferential offering. There will be very few retail holders who are willing to subscribe at the prescribed price.

My guess is that it includes the expected 2H distribution in April.

Historically, MNACT pays around 3-4.5c distribution.

So the current 2-3c premium is reasonable.

So now im confused,

take all cash or take partial mct/partial cash or take full mct better?

Unless MCT reaches $2.0039 again, all cash is better, as that is the exchange rate for the partial or all scrip options.
