Seem like Geylang really is not popular. Subcription really low despite the location.

Anyone living near there? What are the reasons besides the obvious one that "geylang" is not a good name due to association with certain industry?

Although it is classified as Geylang, its not really near Geylang (although its about 20 mins walk away). I live nearby, and its certainly a great place to leave in. Full of ammenities and its very near town. Nearest MRT has 2 MRT lines - Downtown & Circle, as well as very close to the East-West & North-East lines. Very convenient for travelling.

When the price be out?

I got no experience...... need to get HDB hub to register and pay the $10? or do it online? pay by master/visa?

You need to pay the $10 to book the flat first. HDB website has very clear instructions today, unlike the past (although it can be better).

Once the queue numbers are out (or shortly after), you would be able to see the prices of each unit online and as well as through a brochure that they would send.

What type of upgrading is being carried out now? Not lift right? It's the addition of either toilet or utility room that kind right?

Upgrading in this area was completed more than 10 years ago. Residents have been circulating of en-bloc rumours.

(subject to me/us meeting the eligibility conditions for the loan).

I/We have checked my/our eligibility for an HDB concessionary interest rate loan and intend to apply/have applied for a housing loan from a Bank/Financial Institution.

What should i do

Resubmit a new application? I think you can cancel the application and make a new one.

Otherwise call HDB if it can be changed or it is ok to leave it.

they will ask u to pay the 10% deposit which is compulsory because HDB will only loan you maximum of 90%
so you will first have to use your CPF OA to pay 10% deposit

but the 90% loan is the maximum limit, which means that if you still got remaining money left in your OA after paying the 10% deposit, they will wipe it clean to reduce the 90% loan to something lower

will they wipe off during the second appoointment to sign the lease or when collecting key?

During key collection. The HLE letter would also show the loan amount after wiping out the CPF OA.

Sorry to intrude, how does the Married Child Piority Scheme works? My wife & I (both first timer) are planning to purchase a HDB unit under this Mar'BTO and my MIL plans to stay with us.

The question is that she currently owns a HDB flat for 13yrs and if we're applying under MCPS, will my MIL be required to sell of her current flat if our application is successful?

Any kind soul, pls advise. Thanks.

She has to sell her flat, as she would be listed as an occupier. Maybe not at application date, but around the time of key collection.

Means some blocks have 2 bathrooms some have utility room right?

Then what is the current upgrading that is going on now? It's more on the facilities around the blocks?

Yah, if they upgrade the flats about 10 years ago, means they don't mean to enbloc for another 10 to 20 years bah? No point upgrading just for 10 years rite?

But if there is, means it will be quite a major one. Will be many blocks involved.

And there are some other areas also with 1960s, 1970s flats, everybody speculating but in the end, enbloc is not a promise rite? haha

Applied for BB BTO..1st timer and under MCPS 4 ballot chance..plus pending 1 extra chance with my current HG Capeview fully booked and my appointment to select flats on 10april up the smoke..waiting for hdb to email and SMS confirmation not to attend appointment and my extra 1 chance..anyone encounter getting appointment que but when come nearing their turn the BTO project fully booked?

i don't think that selection will affect your balloting number at all? Should be just an indication for hdb's reference only..
