This keep make my internet down and need restart few times just can connect back.
I occur this issue especially this few days.
Is it firmware issue? My firmware is 3341.

Running on 3341 for a month now. No such issues. Everything is stable.

Any asuswrt/telnet experts around ?
I'm not sure how to direct to where the file is saved ( c:/fw.trx )

mtd-write2 /mnt/sda1/fw.trx linux && reboot
-i: file is too small

I couldn't access the router settings using admin/admin. (Probably M1 installer changed the default setting).
If I do a hole poke reset, do I need info for DCHP before I reach the part where I can assign SSID name and security key?
Tks

restart the router first. u should be able to access the admin menu unless the router has been set to access point mode, then the gateway address will change.

Thanks renfred89.

Another question:
If the router username, password has been left unchanged at admin, admin, then would it be possible for my next door neighbor (who is able to see my router) log in to router and see my internet password?

unless your neighbour has the security key to your WPA2, otherwise its impossible to log into the admin menu for your router.

i still suggest you set another password for your webui..

renfred, you guessed my thinking.
From your answer, since others can't access, I think I will leave it till I really need to change some settings.
Thanks a lot for clearing my doubts anyway. (I was unsure if they type 192.168.1.1, and then key in admin, admin, they could access my router settings)

My 88 can reach 500/600 on wired, but wireless can't even reached more than 100 on my iPhone and laptop. I'm on a m11gb plan and all setting are default, firmware 380.3341

When I'm at my parent hse (m1 300m plan), my iPhone can hit 150/200 on a ASUS 56 wireless

Is there something wrong with my 88? Shd I bring down to the service ctr for them to diagnose

The 100mbps speed is achieved on which frequency ? 2.4 or 5 ?

Can you share both frequency screen shot here ? Blank out your password when posting.

5.0 > 80mhz
